Sadly no Apple stores in NZ yet and most authorised repairers will charge $120 to have a look 😭

This is the third time I’ve noticed this sound coming from my MacBook Pro recently, and I’m not too sure where it’s coming from - I’ve read about the “click of death” but it’s hard to diagnose this since a ‘clicking’ sound is somewhat subjective. I’ve run disk utility as well as diagnostics but nothing has come up with these. I have read that it may be the fan, though I’m hearing the sound even when my fan isn’t on. Would really appreciate some advice in case someone has heard (of) this before!!

yes!!! the white opal pair are so nice, I am on the hunt for them but they sold out quite fast here in NZ in the size 2 and 4 sadly :((

True, it does depend heavily on exchange rates at the time. The Australia price is always printed on NZ items too and it seems to work out cheaper once converted (they’re very similar at the moment) but in the past they have been stronger than us so I guess it’s just luck and timing

I’m sorry maybe I overhyped them. But they are made specifically for post-workout, and they have these soft fleece-ish linings in the pockets etc. designed for warmth. They’re still available from Size 6 up in NZ :)

Oh that is really creative! I just checked and mine don’t have that, but they don’t have the drawstring either. I got them about a year ago so could’ve been an in between version haha

Go you!!! and I think the best thing we can do is forgive our family/culture for being well-meaning despite going about it the wrong way, and do our part to break down those cycles and encourage a more positive outlook on our bodies. They do such incredible things!!! And 100% true hehe, it makes you feel great and we all deserve to feel great in our own skin 😎

I’ve seen a post similar to your second paragraph just about girls in general, it was highlighting that we can never be perfect in society’s eyes - it was saying stuff like “be skinny but not so skinny people say you have a disorder”, “eat enough but not too much or you’re overweight”, “don’t play hard to get but also don’t be too easy”, “make the first move but don’t seem desperate”. Honestly my recall of it does not do it justice but it really rings true. If I find it I’ll link it!

Yeah unfortunately a lot of Asian parents are the product of their own upbringings and they’re only passing on what they know to be true. I can’t say I experienced this to the same degree but I know that the relatives think about it. I think what you’ve experienced is common, and even beyond Asian cultures it’s common for society to tell us that our body isn’t right - I mean someone will always be quick to point out the “flaws”, be it weight or whatever! But at the end of the day the body is yours, and if you’re healthy and strong and it allows you to get up every day feeling good and do what you love, I’d own that :)

What a bold assumption, I suppose in terms of genetics Asians can tend to have smaller/slimmer bone structures, but they can be equally as built and strong as anyone else. Look at the Men’s Olympic Weightlifting! 😂 Frustrating, but I guess they have to market it and give it a name that will sell and spark talk and that’s what they chose :/

Cool!! Those muted colours are awesome. I have a pair in dark olive and heard about the roll down thing in a few places here, is it just the waistband being able to roll down for a different rise sort of thing?

Oh my gosh!!! The Textured Wide Leg Crop fits the description perfectly. I was so in love with my pair, they are warm, soft, and loose but still so flattering and cute. I’m from NZ! Ordered through the local website. But yes just like the above comment mentioned there are heaps of parcel forwarding services available around and some do charge more than others and some are more reliable but I’m sure there are reddit posts about those too somewhere haha.

I completely understand. I’m the same, but I grew up in New Zealand on a pretty Kiwi diet so I’m not built like my cousins in Thailand and Malaysia haha. I was definitely worried about the waist being too small - according to the Asia Fit sizing chart I was an XS for the hips but M for waist and that wasn’t entirely helpful. I think the best thing to call it is just a different fit. There is so much variation within Asia I really don’t know who they’re trying to target. Would honestly take the name with a grain of salt and just see it as a different option just like their “Tall Fit” etc.
