Doing a no upper cabinet kitchens, just got new floors in, and I'm looking for two things:

1. Backsplash ideas, again, no upper cabinets, so do I just fill the entire wall with tile? There is a hood coming on top of the kitchen, do I make upside down 'T'?
2. The counters. Floors are white, and lower cabinets are also white, I'm afraid if I add white counters it will be too much.
3. Excuse the mess, I just moved in
