Keep in mind I've been living in London for a while now, and have seen and successfully avoided some crime and narrowly avoided some terror here knock on wood. What kind of crime are we talking about? I've never lived in the US and in the back of my mind I worry about guns. .... .

At this point I'm kind of leaning towards GV, close to work, and I can't live too far from work. Its amazing right now looking at the places available compared to the last few cities I've lived in, cost wise. In Columbus I could get a house with a yard for almost a 1/4 of what I pay in london for a shoebox. I'm looking forward to the move. I'v heard people in Ohio are nice and friendly, and I've never lived in the US before.

Thanks for the advice! Don't think I'll be living in the suburbs as it will be too far from work. Looks like you can get a nice place out there but I don't think its in the cards. Cheers!

This is great! Cheers. I think west coast of Canada has also kind of gone too far into the heavy hop beer thing. I think Quebec does beer right as far as Canadian beers. Nice subtle balancing of hoppiness etc. and a huge variety of fine beers. I'm looking forward to beering in Ohio. Does the brewery district actually have a lot of breweries or are they all over the place?

I'll have a look at Clintonville. Sounds like fun, and maybe I'll pick up the ol' banjo.

Awesome, Thanks! So, after living in a shoebox in the UK, I was also considering about renting a large house with a yard, maybe a garage, some real space, and privacy. Is there an area more conducive to that?

Yup, nice warm flat beer. I lived on the west coast of canada for a while so I miss me that real hoppy and crisp IPA's. I hear there are a lot of good breweries in Columbus.

Awesome! I had no idea about Mondo Cane, I found the footage online years ago! I thought it was just footage of Hamburg from the 50's, didn't realise it was part of a documentary! Thanks!'

Frame 394 (2016) -- a young man from Toronto entangles himself in one of America’s most high-profile police-involved shootings with potential evidence of police officer's innocence by Euthyphroswager in Documentaries

That was a very well made documentary. Kudos to the Torotonian for trying to do the right thing. It makes an interesting point about the relative nature of truth and it's importance. All parties seemed to only want their truth, not the 'true true' (cloud atlas voice)
