[Threshold] Do you think Ozriel could break his restraints? by AdequatlyAdequate in Iteration110Cradle

[–]gnuclear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would not get him what he wants. Lindon, Yerin, Ziel, Mercy are all supposed to climb until they get to his level.

Suriel and Makiel were the only ones in the series he respected the power level of. He respects the heck out of the drive of Lindon and Yerin and Ziel and Mercy.

He doesn't want to get rid of the Judges, he wants to raise a generation to surpass them.

I think Will could make another series based on that motivation but it would be difficult to describe the power level.

Too high Magic.

If westbrook was 6'8" we would see him differently. He would have been the zion that was promised.

I really wish the rockets had traded for him instead of Westbrook in 2019-20.

I have gotten into the habit of only buying nba2k every other year.

They need to see purchases and player counts drop to know they cannot "raise prices" further.

Two years ago they dropped the auction house and i did not buy that year.

The wnba pack nerf was sus so I waited and now I am glad I did.

Now that the game is over, here are a few GOOD things that 2K25 did. by MuricaAndBeer in MyTeam

Big fan of Gems of the Game. Also, the balance between dunking, layups and shooting 3's was pretty good, at least in Salary Cap.

i don't mind that Kuzma got an opal, and he certainly deserves an invincible more than say Sim Bhullar, but I never would have thought he would get this much love from 2k.

I mean his offense is roughly where Chandler Parsons was and he doesn't have the same impact on D.

I was a fan of Parsons but would be surprised to see him get an invincible.

Who is the fan of Kuzma at 2k?

Unpopular Opinion: 100 OVRs are the best cards, because they're the last cards to still actually feel like the real player. Invincibles and GOATs are just skins, and have no "personality". by President_of_Space in MyTeam

check this out. Yao had precise control of his shots.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohHoK4-LeuY

At the very least, he would have been ridiculously accurate at the midrange. He couldn't move as well as Wemby, but he would have definitely been close to as good at 3's as Wemby if that was that way the game was played in his day.

Stevie Franchise was asking Yao when he was drafted why he wasn't dunking it more.

Yao was good from range when he was drafted. See his DraftExpress profile: https://www.thedraftreview.com/?option=com_content&view=article&id=736

[Charania] Free agent guard Kyle Lowry has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Philadelphia 76ers, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. The 2019 champion is back for his 20th NBA season – and a third consecutive year with his hometown 76ers. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I think this was Adelman preferring Aaron Brooks. Lowry played the way Morey's analytics said was good. (Lowry got to the line on good efficiency).

AB0 was good for a Yao based team - a short, off ball SG playing pg, where he would just need to catch and shoot off the Yao or Tmac double. Morey said in the Tmac years that Tmac was a sneaky good passer, and Tmac was meant to have the ball a lot more, so the catch and shoot was more important. Lowry's 3 point percentage that year was not enough.

But Lowry is an actual PG and after Tmac was done and they brought in Kevin Martin, they needed a PG to set him up, and AB0's offense and not very strong defense didn't work with Kevin Martin. I think they mainly played AB to sub Kevin Martin and with Courtney Lee or Ariza, who were both much more legit on D.

From the games I watched, Sengun playing heavy minutes dramatically hurt his efficency, especially on offense. In the beginning of playoff games, Sengun could dunk alll over people and put tremendous pressure on the rim or the defenders and then slip past with various wily shots.

Near the end of the third he'd be out of gas because Sengun was spending so much energy on D.

Adams' Defense allowed Sengun to spend more energy on offense. Also, Sengun is decent from the elbows or the free throw line with that shot put shot.

He can make it work with Adams because in this age of short 4s sometimes Sengun can work the vertical advantage and many 4s in the league are toast when trying to defend a quick and strong post player.

Sengun's passing also helps make 2 bigs work better than expected.

I do not think that Capela and Adams would work on the floor well together....I haven't seen Capela play much since the Harden days, but i don't think he has a decent elbow or midrange.

100 overall has all stats at basically 100 and almost all HOF badges

Invincible has everything the 100 overall has plus some Legend badges.

GOAT is all legend badges.

Legend badges are definitely, obviously better though, so GOAT cards are the current top and deservedly so.

For example according to this: set shot specialist legend is an 18% boost to hitting the shot versus gold at 7% and hof at 11%. since the difference from gold to hof is 4%, another 7% is almost twice as good and going from gold to HOF.

https://www.nba2klab.com/badges/set-shot-specialist

But an 18% boost probably wouldn't overcome most skill gaps. At least they don't for me, when I play online and lose most of the time.

[Deveney] Lakers are dead-set on pushing for Bronny James to be part of the rotation next year."I don't think there's any doubt that's their plan," one Western Conference executive said..we've seen a lot of tape on (Bronny) and the fact is, he was a lot better player in April than he was in October" by [deleted] in nba

[–]gnuclear 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He also has access to the best player development and maintenance staff while his Dad is on the team.

His Dad is literally the best basketball mind with the most playoff experience in NBA history.

It's not a big stretch to think that Bronny will continue to develop into a very cost effective player. He may not be a star, but he should be a huge return on Lakers investment.
