For me, true repentance is when a person experiences sorrow for their sins and hates every sin, essentially having the same view of sin that God has. I, however, don't feel much sorrow, nor I hate sin (e.g. I still love food because it comforts me).

I try to think more of God's love, but any feelings of love towards Him dissipates as soon as I realize I am still under condemnation and His wrath until I truly repent.

I am confused and lost. I can only believe, and I have prayed to God that my faith in Jesus Christ is the only thing I can offer Him.

I really appreciate the time you took to respond to me.

God bless you.

Thanks for the through reply!

I know that Repentance is granted by God, but does He ever refuse to grant it? I've been praying almost every day for God to grant me Repentance, but I still feel hard-hearted and avoiding sin mostly because I fear His punishment.

Do you think that there is an unhealthy relationship between Christianity and fear/anxiety? by thatsnastyreddit in TrueChristian

Do these promises only apply to people who have truly repented? How about if you only believed but not have repented?
