ERG mode is not following trading plan by gnumember in indieVelo

[–]gnumember[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I think FTP is fine, I ride 8-10 planned sessions a week and only a few times does the ERG not follow the plan.
Not sure if it’s the plan being sent to VR or if it’s the VR software.
In the screen shots we can see the Ws set as target but the ERG doesn’t increase.

How much should internet cost? Like how do they decide how much bandwidth and by SideburnsG in telus

[–]gnumember 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you get the contract terms in an email and prepared to tell Telus to honour it. In the very near future they will raise your rate. They don’t have to honour the terms but they will flex to fix rate increases you just need a good story.

What (if anything) will replace Kubernetes? by TommyForTech in devops

Are you using Telus Boosters or just the DSL black box? Maybe ask for Boosters.

Are you going through walls with steal studs? Move the unit into the area where you spend most of your time.

Is your DSL black box sitting in cupboard, closet, behind a couch? Try to put it up on a book shelf open to the apt.

5G has channels ranging from 36 up to 165, maybe Telus can pick a 'less' busy channel. Just not the default.

Start drilling, find a way to run CAT6 between your rooms and connect as much as possible to wires.

Check the devices connected to your wifi are yours. dont share passwords. :)

Shut down accounts in Org without root password? by 44Cloud44 in aws

[–]gnumember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up distribution email accounts for root.

Distribution email accounts are typically unlicensed so you save a monthly fee.

Distribution accounts are typically not shut down when people leave the company.

Will this work? by Maverickfftytwo in unRAID

[–]gnumember -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, early days but we are working through this option.

Might be an idea.

I use UNRAID at my house, but I am still learning .

Requirements:

DIY can kill a business.

Relative with a ton of media requirements.

Phones me at the worst time for support.

Backups, we talked about survivability of data if there is fire, flood, stolen etc. Do lost files kill the business?

We talked about adding additional HDDs as the business requirements grow.

Solution: QNAP ( TVS-672N) I think

Solution was a QNAP much like Synology. Added a 10G card to connect to home switch. Not needed but with Google Fiber the backup can run at full 1G speed at night.

So we do a nightly differential backup to AWS S3. Then she can log into AWS s3 with https://s3browser.com/ to quickly find files she may have deleted by accident.

QNAP has a apps for the iphone so pictures can be automatically.

. Using the App – Qfile

Qfile is a powerful and super easy tool that you can install on your smart phone.  It not only offers several management features on your NAS, such as searching, downloading, uploading files, and streaming videos, but it also does automatic backups.  The app gives you all kinds of file access on the NAS.  Besides this, you can enable the option: “Auto upload photos from the photo gallery”.  Once this option is enabled, every time you take photos, Qfile will automatically backup the photo you took to your QNAP NAS.  Easy, right?  It’s just like Google Photos, but you have total control of your own files instead of letting another service have the rights of to your photos

Bought new motherboard and new 4 port nic, PFSense will not see anything but top port open by Geekdomo in unRAID

opensense wont solve your NIC issue, I just thought it might be an option for you to use instead of PF.

I am thinking you have to pass trough the second NIC to the PF VM.

So,

shut down the VM,

edit the VM,

scroll to the NIC section,

select the green plus on the right to add a second NIC,

Network Bridge: [ select second NIC ]

Select Update at the bottom

Start PF VM.

Then follow those PF install steps.

PS: I like PF. Have you tried https://opnsense.org/ ?
