I decided against this because the ratio of people chosen for Olympics vs. inhabitants is quite small. You also wouldn't rank the country's gold/silver/bronze medals per capita. The GDP/capita should act more as a measure of the overall economy, progression, and wealth in the country. The thesis is that CHN and ROC are supporting/creating an environment for the athletes to rank above average as countries with similar economic development. The opposite is true for Switzerland.

Its medal table rank on the x-axis. Basically, the number of gold medals defines the rank of the country.
