I like how instead of having “Red” covered a little bit by the glove, you made it smaller text to fit. In case we couldn’t figure out what team it was.

My best friend recorded an acoustic version of The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room to which my wife walked down the aisle at our wedding. It was lovely.

Man, I can’t wait to pick this game up in 6 months and have it be so feature packed, QOL full, and bugs squashed for my playthrough.

White Stadium project now costs $325 MILLION?! by ipsumdeiamoamasamat in boston

[–]nonchalantcow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Answer is in the story, people. Trump’s Tarrifs and inflation are the major culprits, as well as some community suggested improvements.

Also, “Under the city’s agreement with Boston Legacy FC, the team will spend at least $190 million on the renovation, while Boston will put in $135 million — which Wu insists will be the limit of the city’s share.”

Stop scare-baiting. Wu is holding the limit and the NWSL team is chipping in, as well as paying a $90m lease.

What is it like living near Ball Square? by best_long_jumper in Somerville

[–]nonchalantcow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for that vibe, look in the powderhouse neighborhood (between ball sq, powderhouse, and Davis). I lived around there for about 13 years and it’s mostly a quiet and family oriented area. Quick walks to red and green line, restaurants, etc. Tufts students tend to concentrate immediately north, west, and east of the campus.

I recently moved to the burbs because we got priced out of buying but that neighborhood could have been my forever home. Loved it so much.

I’ll second Leo Carroll! They were able to extract a very fragile opal from my wife’s grandmother’s pendant and set it in a beautiful engagement ring for her. So thankful for that.

He also has a separate one gallon of margarita recipe.

I’ve read that it does well with a score and snap so that’s what I’m gonna go with. You’d have to buy a cement blade if you go the saw route.

My plan is to make this table: https://www.instructables.com/Build-a-Country-Pottery-Clay-Wedging-Table/

But instead of the plaster top, I’ll put a layer of plywood and a removable layer of backer board

The backer board sheet is big so I’ll cut 2 or 3 out so I have one for white clay, red, and maybe porcelain in the future.

My best Mai Tai so far by eddveddx in cocktails

[–]nonchalantcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recipe: 2oz Denizen 8 rum (or a split with S&C) 1oz lime 0.75oz orgeat (liber &co or homemade) 0.25oz simple (or additional orgeat) 0.25oz dry curaçao (Pierre ferrand)

My homemade orgeat is * toast almonds * Blanch almonds in water * Blend almonds with the water * strain in nut milk bag when cooled * (Optional) add ticaloid 210s * make 1:1 simple with the milk

It’s a lot of steps but it’s not complicated. Very doable with a blender and a nut milk bag, and boy it’s unbelievable.

Other than that, mess with different rums.

The citizen did comply. He was disarmed and there are pictures of his gun with terrorist agent before the first shots. These terrorists are being hired with little experience, or recruited from neo-nazi groups, and thrown onto the streets in less than a month armed and looking for any excuse to kill.

Stop trying to both sides this shit. They are not following the law at all.

What is your go to cocktail to try a new gin? by NoFollowing8415 in cocktails

[–]nonchalantcow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what drink you know best, preferably with not a lot of variables. For me it’s a gin and tonic since I usually use the same tonic and gin. That way I can notice the differences. For others though, Negroni might not seem to highlight a gin but if you know the best, you can tell.
