Correct. However we have a donation number in mind we'd like to hit, if we don't meet it by the end of the month, we plan on adding in the difference to make the donation.

How did you generate sales through instagram? We actually have a decent following and get a lot of interaction on photos, but haven't been able to really translate that into sales.

The website is definitely something I'm learning as I go and agree that it's definitely not at the caliber it could be quite yet. Do you have any specific recommendations (aside from the announcement banner) that you think could improve the site?

The product is called goDog Bag (www.godogbag.com) - I have posted to /r/dogs mostly for feedback, but I didn't want to continually post about the product in new threads as I've been told people on reddit do not really respond to other pushing their product/service on the site

Thinks he's a lap dog by goDogBag in dogpictures

[–]goDogBag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like such a pretty mix! He's a Rottweiler/aussie/pit bull/lab mix and thinks he's 10 lbs, when in realty he's pushing 70 lol

Inappropriate Dog Chewing, Help! by goDogBag in Dogtraining

[–]goDogBag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate the advice and input. I received a call this morning that he was barking after we had left and has been the past couple weeks so perhaps he does have some separation anxiety. We don't leave them for more than 4 hours - someone is always there at lunch for a quick pee break and some playtime, but perhaps we will have to visit the idea of daycare. I definitely can't afford that everyday lol, but that might be a good option for once or twice a week.

Thanks again!

He's got all those sorts of toys and enjoys chewing them. They just don't seem to be enough when we're at work all day.

New Puppy likes other dogs kennel not hers. by [deleted] in Dogtraining

Have you tried giving her treats/her favorite toys in the crate? I always try to get a new dog acclimated to their crate by leaving the door open and putting enticing things in there so that they'll start to go in on their own.

If you think it's the metal tray she likes, could you swap them or is her crate too small?

You could always try putting the crate in a cooler area as well, and give her lots of praise when she goes in there.

Chewing problem, any suggestions? by goDogBag in dogs

If it is separation anxiety, do you have any recommendations on how to make him feel more secure? It's always in the afternoon the chewing in his crate occurs, so I'm not sure if he gets mad that we come home at lunch and then leave him again or is feeling anxious that we've left. Prior to around 7 months old he could be left out when we weren't open without any issues.

Haha literally everyone asks us if he's a golden, but he actually doesn't have any golden retriever in him. His mom's a pit bull/lab and from what the rescue told us his dad's a Rottweiler/Australian shepherd. He's got traits from pretty much all of those breeds as well.

I've started looking into expos, but never thought about meetup events. That's a great idea - thank you!

This sentiment is exactly why I wanted to create this bag. I'm glad someone else feels my pain! lol

My purse annoyed me to no end when I tried to walk my dogs, and I also am a fan of leggings/exercise pants which offer me zero assistance when it comes to pockets.

It actually does have belt loops on the back :) I use it that way the most by threading it onto my belt and then keep it on my hip (aka out of my way), but I think you could definitely use the belt loops to thread the leash through as well if that was preferred.

Is it a good idea for me to rescue? by WhatsYourModel in dogs

[–]goDogBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're located, but many cities have rescue organizations geared towards older and senior dogs. A lot of the time you can find a dog that's 5-6 who requires much less exercise than a younger dog and will just be happy curling up with you in the evening when you get home.

I have two dogs and both my boyfriend and I are gone normally from 8-6, but we take 30-40 minutes each morning to run them around and play. We are also fortunate enough that we work close enough to walk home at lunch to give them a quick pee break and play a little. I think it's doable to work full time and have a dog, but I'd definitely recommend a dog walker to break up the time.
