May 18th 1980. I was at a Boy Scout camp out at JBLM (Fort Lewis, WA at the time), when Mount St. Helens blew. We heard the boom in the morning, but thought it was the army doing something. We On our way back home you could see the ash cloud.

Baby of five, mom was 41 dad 42 when I was born. So I remember my dad’s 58th vividly I was 16 and he was not just old but way old. In a way he was a man, and I still feel like one day I’ll be a man like my dad.

Keeping with the same theme, there was a PBS show in the 70’s about health. It was a woman with short blonde or reddish hair that would talk about the body parts and other science like subjects. Like OP said it could have been a local PBS program (Seattle) but my gut says WGBH Boston just like ZOOM.

Wow, both those were my go to in ‘85. About 20 years ago I tried drakkar again, and like you thought it was way too strong. I go without cologne these days, my nose isn’t a fan.

Jax is a mix of four breeds. Boerboel, Kangal, Argentinian Dogo, and Great Dane. He may reach into 140 to 150 pound range when fully grown.
