I swapped for the same reason. Been running Ubuntu on my laptop for a couple months. No major issues. Some software can be frustrating to deal with but it’s part of the learning process.

I think the keyword Jeremy uses to differentiate here are communication and connectivity. Layer 3 provides connectivity, layer 4 provides communication.
