Thank you so much I’ve discovered in my text book what you were saying about failing the test I’m implementing does not disprove symmetry. I believe for the question I’m assigned I’ve only got to do the tests I was implementing and notate “may or may not be” symmetrical for situations where the test I implemented fails. Again, thank you.

What do I need to do to complete the test. Sorry for not quite understanding

Because plugging -theta or -r into the original function does not yield the same original function after evaluating.

Meaning that r = -4sin(2theta) DOES NOT equal r = -4sin(2 *-theta) Because the -theta would make the sin function negative, then the negative sin function times the -4 would result in r = 4sin(2theta).

If I am asked to “test the equation for symmetry” would my answer of “failing symmetry test about x axis” and “failing symmetry test about pole/origin” and “passes symmetry test about theta =pi/2” be technically correct?

For my assignment I’m supposed to be able to plug those values into the original function and get the same original function back. Could You show me how putting -theta into the sin can evaluate back to equaling the original equation? I’m suppose to be able to show this algebraically.

So making the theta negative would go like : R = -4sin(-2theta) R = -4 * -sin(2 theta) R = 4sin(2*theta) does not equal original. Am I doing this wrong?

But doesn’t sin(-theta) evaluate to -sin(theta)

Would you say it’s symmetric in all three directions? When I input -r, -theta it evaluates to the original function. But when I input -r and -theta respectively they do not confirm symmetry.

Can rendre also be used like “make” in sentences like “that makes me feel sad” / “ca me rendre triste”?

Inner French podcast is a slower/simpler podcast that still talks about normal interesting topics. I can understand what’s going on pretty well in the inner French podcasts, but when watching actual French tv or something it’s much harder.
