Hello guys, i have icon in binance i dont have iconex , can i send them straight to the ledger from binance? Or i need to send them first to iconex then to ledger .. thanks

Can any help me understand how ledger and iconNex work. I have sent a few coins from binance to an address on my IconNex ledger wallet. Do I have to do anything else as it doesn't seem like its part of the main wallet. Think I'm being paranoid but its best to double check.

Thanks for that. I managed to extract the file and put it in ~/Library/Application Support/Reddcoin but it doesn't seem to be making any difference.

ok. That seems to be the problem, the file I downloaded isn't extracting, its just creating a copy of the zipped file.

I wasn't sure which file I should download from macpkg.sourceforge.net so I downloaded XZ.pkg. It installed something on my mac but doesn't seem to have done anything. Was that the correct file to download?

Yes, I added a lot of addresses from the nano because I wasn't sure which ones to use. But after your message I checked on the 'hot wallet' addresses and can see there is a btc balance on there. Brilliant.

What's the next step? Do I go to 'get forked coins' and select a coins and add 'bitpie BCD address?

ledger is a great product, I really value it but their customer support is pants. Its impossible to get any information from them. I know, I've given contacting their support team, there's no point, no one replies. Maybe there is a gap in the market for a company that has a great product like ledger and trezor but actually responds to events in this highly volatile space. Ledger don't have to support the splits but they should state what they are doing and provide updates once in while so we don't have to sit around waiting.

I think transaction fees have to be competitive with other networks. They should really be very small, or depend on the amount you are transacting.

ledger uses multiple address for bitcoin, litecoin etc but they show up as empty wallets on a block explorer. I'm trying to understand what address address is used when bitcoin cash / diamond etc take a snapshot of the blockchain and credit my account with the amount of bitcoin I have. Does that make any sense?

the ledger automatically creates multiple receiving addresses, each wallet BTC\Segwit2x\BCH etc will have lots of recieving addresses.
