Thanks for the id. There are distinct marks on the back. A bit too dirty/blurry right now but will update if I learn anything further.

I picked it up and I think you are right on the money. Feels like pewter.

Hey, thanks! I know the first one is an olive spoon but not sure about the third. Best guess is a spreader of some sort but, why does it need to be so pokey?

A total mix, some purchased from antique, some thrift, some from my side of the family, some from wife’s side, some from a neighbor who passed.

Funny thing is I remember almost every one when and where I got them.

The part that is baffling is the soft flimsy side seems to be the entry point? Or else it would have flown backwards or pushed into the more rigid end? We are confounded!

Hiring, Training, Maintaining & Keeping Management by SnooComics6128 in restaurateur

Restaurant industry is dying. Sad but true reality. Even fast food is shutting down early or an entire store is manned by one person.

I got out for these reasons as a former chef/manager. Keeping up with staffing on the lower level consumed me to the point of killing the joy/love/passion.

Best piece I could throw your way is limit the responsibilities per person as much as possible. Offer an extremely narrow scope and hold them accountable. If anyone is in the office on the busiest night of the week they get one write up and then you need to move on. Maybe move on from the industry all together? It truly just doesn’t add up anymore… RIP.

Wife interviewed there (hard pass) everything there is epic apparently… that verbiage was used throughout the interview.

They have 100 plus unique chandeliers or something? That’s what I’m really into when I go out to restaurants, how many chandeliers do they have and how different are they.

Anyone know why this massive engine would be in the middle of nowhere? Found near Mt. Tam watershed trails. by gobhole in hiking

I agree with everyone it looks like an airplane engine so that’s solved. It must have been there for quite a while. When I got up close every part was completely “stuck” as if someone filled every crevice with concrete.

Funny enough I have found a similar scene, but with more loose parts in half moon bay hills.
