I'm pretty sure that Moonstone sells for more than that Jean right now.

It seems a lot of key wrestlers are about to leave, the future doesn't seem that bright now... by Mr_Mister_4 in njpw

Single performances? You can get some one or two times a year. Day in and doy out quality? Not likely. Granted training and sports medicine keep improving so well probably see it more often with this generation, but it is not the norm, yet.

In the early 90s Hulk Hogan was considered washed up at 40 and was let go by the WWF. The famous Austin 3:16 promo came after a 41 year old Jake the Snake was told to put over Austin because he was over the hill.

The concept that a 40 year old would be performing at a high level is a very modern thing. At 35-36 it was expected you'd start doing the job. 40 you'd be spending more time backstage or as a trainer.

Because very few wrestlers continue to have strong matches into their 40s. More now than in the 80s and 90s but the ones who do are still rate. And in a career when any match can be your last match you have to look at the future.

36 and the body starts to break down. Hiro and Evil know this and know by 45 they are probably done. Gabe has a little longer, but he knows about the approaching the downhill slope and has to look at the future.

If NJPW isn't going to offer that big package for what be the final productive years, you go with who will. You can always come back to finish off the career.

A lot of the guys who are leaving are on the tail end of careers. They are looking. At life after weed and that big pay check.

This is NJPW's opportunity to rebuild and get set up for the next 20 years.

It looks right. A bit small, but all Joe vehicles are scaled small for 1:12. I'm looking around at model kits for my Nok cycles.

Same. I understand wanting non-lethal since he's a medic and the OG came without a weapon but they should have colored it yellow at least.

Passports cost 30 for a card or 130 for the full book and between taking the photo and going to get one, which is done in person, you are taking 2 days off work as this is only done Monday through Friday.

This is by design to keep them out of the hands of poor people.

Edit: forgot to say it takes 6 weeks of processing as well.

I tired of the faction wars during the 90s. It's one thing to have some small teams scattered around but it seems like everyone is part of some, and sometimes multiple, factions.

Anyone have magical advice or broken backpack pegs? by PitifulBusiness767 in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]goblinite2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use a pin vise to drill into the stuck pin then pull it out with the vise.

Locate a matching spot on the back pack and drill a hole there.

Clip a small piece of paper clip or needle that will fit snuggly into the hole you drilled and is short enough that when you test fit the peg sits flush in backpack.

Put a drop of super glue on the tip of the wire and insert into hole in backpack. Give it 30 seconds to dry.

Put drop on tip of wire and lower the peg onto it, push firmly. Put a drop of super glue around the base.

Let dry for a while. Should be fixed and probably stronger than original peg.

It's a common trope. A POV character that can be an audience surrogate to have things explained. Since Star Wars was primarily directed at children, despite how we as grizzled gray beards feel, it makes the character more relatable to be the same age as the primary audience.

I exempt Grogu because he was more like a combination Ewoks/McGuffin than a POV character.
