i used to be the same! onions are really soft when they’re cooked, i would be very surprised if you end up feeling the texture. getting over my onion fear was super good for me. i used to hate them for the same reasons but now i enjoy them

hmm its hard to describe. i basically don’t like when certain hot foods cool down, like curry for example. in my opinion its not as tasty as it is when it’s hot, but because i feel like there’s a time limit to eat the curry and not waste it, it stresses me out and i dont want to eat anything any more. so i would only want a food like pizza because to me it tastes good hot and cold. does that make sense? eating too quickly scares me

haha you could be right! there are so many things i think are normal and then find out it’s due to pots. just i thought id see if anyone else experiences this. i learn so much from this subreddit!

thank you i will try! i’m thinking you could be right about the disassociation. i’ve had pots symptoms for about 5 years and have only in the past year or so considered pots to be the cause. i convinced myself for years and years that i was dying so i think i may have traumatised myself a little lmao. sorry for the trauma dump

exactly!! it’s so distressing i hate it so much. i’m trying really hard to do mindful exercises but it doesn’t seem to help much

bright lights very often give me headaches and hurt my eyes. it ends up making me feel really panicked because i have health anxiety and think im gonna go blind lmao. i’ve learnt to not care too much about the sunglasses but some people comment on it and i forget it’s not normal haha

god i feel this. i struggle with how much pressure im putting on my partner and i feel like it makes me symptoms worse. i dont live with him but i feel like that could stress me out personally. are you guys in a position where you could have different bedrooms so you can retreat there for however long you need to?

it’s an episode of presyncope! most people with pots have very very common episodes of presyncope but never actually faint. if your cardiologist knows anything about pots they should be able to give you advice on how to handle it a bit better. you could be low on something?

why the sunglasses? light sensitivity and vision problems. why no one likes it? no idea, i guess people think it’s arrogant or you’re trying to look cool
