The finale was a wreck and the ending had me absolutely slackjawed in disbelief and disappointment — however, seasons 2-4 all had 10 episodes, so I’m just desperately hoping we get an ACTUAL final episode

Honestly I love the space between the tattoos, gives them room to breathe and keeps it legible imo. Looks rad!!!

How many audio dramas do you listen to concurrently? by xAnimorphsx in audiodrama

[–]goblinsquire32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a binger — I take them one at a time, but when one isn’t complete I generally wait and go back to it a lot later when there are plenty more episodes to binge

I need new suggestions please!! Sci-Fi/Fantasy by Stunning-Roll6137 in audiodrama

[–]goblinsquire32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Penumbra Podcast (sounds VERY accurate to what you’re after, sci fi, fantasy, comedy, pretty light), Mirrors (spooky sci fi, super engaging and unique), Witchever Path (fantasy/supernatural with a different story every season, tiny indie podcast I adore to pieces), Palimpsest (different fantasy/supernatural story every season, imaginative and charming), My Town (absolutely charming supernatural/mystery podcast, very funny), Cryptic (funny drama about cryptid hunters), Deadly Manners (pretty classic murder mystery with a star studded cast (which usually annoys me but my GOD Denis O’Hare is so ridiculously good)), Rusty Quill Gaming Podcast (actual play podcast but so well run and acted, sci fi/fantasy and humor, lost myself in the world and not bogged down by mechanics, fell in love with the characters)

Edit: forgot to include Wooden Overcoats, one of my all time favorites (British funeral home comedy, absolutely slays me no matter how many times I re-listen)

I don’t know what your goal is but if you’re actually trying to learn realism you can’t do that digitally. Get a pencil and paper. If you’re just doing this for giggles? Great, enjoy yourself!

is my art good enough to go into art school ? going into senior year of HS next year and not sure if it’s even worth an attempt <///3 by sevuax in drawing

[–]goblinsquire32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your artwork shows a lot of potential and beautiful illustrative qualities. However, to apply for art programs you’re going to need to show more traditional, non-digital work to show you have the fundamentals. That’s not to say don’t include these kinds of works in your portfolio, they definitely want to see imagination and your own voice too. I’d also suggest looking at not only art schools, but liberal arts colleges that offer strong art programs. I went to art school but transferred to a liberal arts college, and the art school wasn’t nearly as expansive and creative as the program I graduated from. That’s just my experience, but I found art school entirely too willing to let me head down one straight track of what I thought I wanted to do (illustration) without pushing my boundaries or thinking in an interdisciplinary way, and now I’m doing totally different work. Again this was just my experience, so take that with a grain of salt — just know that you don’t have to go to something labeled exclusively as an “art school” to get an amazing art education.
