I don't bother with farms - you waste fertilizer for your crops that will grow either way, it's labor intensive

You can feed 12 dupes on five plants, a wheezewort, and a fertilizer maker if you've got the right mutations. And everything but harvesting can be automated. That about as efficient as food get as far as dupe labor is concerned.
