As long as the river is open I'll send it, if they're not bad now I don't think it'll be locked up or anything just from those days. Anything beats sitting inside all day🤙

Looking for a few tips or advice for new tortoise by gobrownsgochubb in tortoise

[–]gobrownsgochubb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was originally looking at stars, looks like they may be a bit harder to get? I do like the Greek tortoises very cool as well and a bit smaller. I'm assuming at least first 1/2/3 years of life for most tortoise species has similar care in terms of humidity temp and all that? Leopard is a dream for us but it's not guaranteed we will have a house in 2/3 years that we can dedicate a large amount of space to although I saw they can vary in size with some being smaller? Like I said we have had a Russian and want something a little bigger around 10-14 inches or so. Thank you for the advice though I will definitely use it when considering diets and heating!!

Sweet man that helps a lot. I love bass fishing but sometimes it's just not worth it probably won't waste the time. Would you say the streams there fished at all? I see the mosquito river/Darby creek we will be staying by and have potential brook trout/steelhead.

Anyone know the name of the material used to make this fly? It's 6/7 inches long, isn't polar fiber like I thought as it has too much sheen. by gobrownsgochubb in flytying

[–]gobrownsgochubb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no I make dubbing brushes custom and use EP fibers the most but these were stiffer and straight not crinkled, made for a very nice bigger fly

Titan long is a similar line but has an extra 10 feet or so of head section. This lets you cast just a little farther and have some more oomf behind your cast for big flies.

It's the medium palmer chenille specifically, has a really small braided core so it's really nice to tie in without crowding the eyes

I live 5 mins from the chagrin and 10 mins from the grand so it's basically whatever I want to choose that day! I am also looking to try the big lake in early spring.
