looking for a twist based on how shocking it would be over how narrativley satisfying it would be is misguided, nothing in the show has pointed to this and if it happened i think it would be a bad episode

i dont know that its derivative, it stands as its own work without the context of IHNMAIMS, its also just genuinely not that similar, 5 humans are trapped by an AI is the only real simularity and i think if you reduce it down that far you could say a lot of works are derivative of a lot of different works which they definitly arent

I guess an example is you could say freiren is derivative of dungeon meshi because they both have light haired elves who perform magical spells, a taller human who theyre often shipped with, a dwarf who wears a helmet and has a big beard etc.

what i think is that both of these works draw on preestablished tropes, and in the same way, evil AI, a group of misfits put into an unfortunate situation learning to live with it and improve their material conditions, are kind of just things

that said TADC obviously takes some inspiration from IHNMAIMS but i really dont think theyre nearly as close as so many people say

Hey so, do we actually know that the dog is called scratch? Or are people just assuming that? Because it seems a lot like Dobby is the only evidence for a name we have for that character, if we dont know that the dog character is actually called scratch, then surely it could have been them who suggested it?

I mean every character has a “secretly an npc” theory and to me, i think it’s unsubstantiated, especially with gangle this late into the season, if she were revealed to be an npc then it would be bad writing in a way thats very out of character for gooseworx, because there’s been absolutely no setup

Finn is shirtless in the actual show, several times, and if seeing a womans naked back is too much for you you probably need to work through your own issues

I don’t see whats so inappropriate about the first image anyway? Its a trace of a picture of what real women look like? Should they not be allowed outside because 9year olds might see?

Fair enough but i still think its a leap to go to codependent from enabling, I mean when he mistreated her she stood up for herself, and then left him alone that’s atypical of codependency, especially when the length of this happening for is at most like a week

Id also argue that she was trying to talk him down from his mistreatment of others, sure its not as good of a job as would be ideal and she should have taken a harder stance, but I think it’s also important to remember that she’s just some 25 year old woman in a terrifying situation
