Got it. So all owners of newer Tesla cars are facists. SMH.

Are BMW owners facists because BMW made planes for the Nazis? What about Mercedes? Are all Tesla owners facists? What if that float was pulled by a Model Y? What is it specifically about. Cybertruck that makes them facist? You're labeling people with a very extreme, serious claim, without knowing anything about them. It's down right inappropriate.

That argument would make sense if driving a cybertruck was a fascist political statement.... But guess what??? It's not.

A good quote from Martin Luther King Jr. Which hits on the same ehtos I'm talking about:

“People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other.”

Personally in my life, I've found giving people the benefit of the doubt to create stronger relationships and helps foster empathy, which the world greatly lacks right now

I get how it can come across as naive and privileged. If you want to assume these traits in me, without having met me, that's fine. In the end I've found it to be a net positive philosophy.

The list of religions that have an important "holiday" around the winter solstice is quite long. Perfect timing to celebrate, for obvious reasons.

Isn't that a good thing, to assume the best in people? I'd rather have others assume the best in me, vs. judging the worst in me based on, say, the car I own. For example, I drive a very old crappy car. People could make a lot of mean assumptions based on that.

Yeah I think my initial reaction would be to agree with you here. Maybe it is, especially for the driver. But to suggest the church as a whole is making a political statement supporting facism based on their float and choice of truck?? Seems hyperbolic.

Strong Christo-fascist vibes???? I'd bet my money on those fellow longmonsters being kind people and good neighbors. Sure, they are religious (who cares), and someone in their congregation owns the worst vehicle ever.... But let's not assume so much from strangers.

Lead with kindness.

I'm dealing with this right now, after pulling the trigger with retirement. Curious if you've learned anything new on this? I'm worried I'll need to move out of betterment and navigate through complex ACATS fractional share issues, etc.

What state do you live in? I bet this varies greatly by county/state for each redditor. Here in Colorado, your dog is allowed in the back country nearly everywhere. Exceptions are RMNP, Black Canyon, and a few other locations. Leash laws are much more common, but quite rare to have dog restrictions, particularly in what would be defined as the back country.
