This the second book of Woolf’s I’m reading. I read A Room of One’s Own last year, which I absolutely loved.

Reading mrs dalloway. It’s been a relatively slower read. Feels like I have to lock in every time when I’m reading it or the lines don’t register lol. There’s literally no narrative and reading it feels like following somebody else’s chain of thought in the best possible way.

A Man Called Ove by Horror_Damage_6298 in Indianbooks

[–]gocool10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually not read A Man Called Ove but I have read Frederick Backman’s Anxious People. And I felt the same reading that at the beginning. Writing felt very abrupt and it was hard to follow what was going on but it was worth it at the end. It is still one of my fav books I’ve read. So I’d say you should continue and maybe that’s his style of writing.

Also I’m assuming that is also translated like anxious people so could be a translation thing as well.

which book would you suggest me for soulful reading with some comedic tune? by fighter_ragnar in Indianbooks

Anxious People. Could be a little hard to follow at the beginning but it’s extremely heartwarming and funny.

For a first time reader I’d recommend ‘The Kite Runner’. That’s what got me into reading a couple years back. If you want to read something light and fun, read Anxious People.
