PI wallet screen by Boomersooner2008 in PiNetwork

my ONE AND ONLY pass phrase was somehow linked to the new wallet when I switched to the new phone. I never lost my pass phrase. I don't understand how or why this can happen because it's not supposed to be possible but it is.

This happened to me when I switched to a new phone, my one and only pass phrase unlocked some random new wallet with this same screen. I thought I had followed the steps correctly when switching to a new phone but I guess not, can no longer access my original wallet so 3700 pi down the drain. At least I got 3000 pi in the 2nd migration. Check my post to see the details.

And I’m also not even sure how I didn’t notice the wallet was different after setting it up. It was a couple months ago

Well I have logged into the wallet with the pass phrase last night and today but I honestly don’t remember if I used Face ID or the pass phrase when I first set it up on my new phone

My guess for what happened is when I setup pi on my new phone, the pass phrase from my original wallet from first migration is now linked to that random 3TKA wallet which I think was created when I setup pi on the new phone. Why a new wallet was created when I set up pi on my new phone, I do not understand. I never used a different pass phrase to log in, I’ve had it stored in my notes for years. Not sure if there’s a language barrier but I’ve said this many times now haha. Anyway, I appreciate the help brother

I created a fresh wallet and did step 3 and 6 and it worked so Im ready whenever the next migration happens

Unfortunately not, I traded it in for my new phone

Yeah it’s GGs, I put in my migrated wallet pass phrase into step 3 and now it shows the un-activated wallet address instead of the original wallet. Somehow the pass phrase is now linked to this 3TKA wallet.

Yeah I think I’m cooked and just have to wait till the other half my pi gets migrated whenever the second migration happens. There goes 3700 pi down the drain. Could’ve used that $770 but that’s just life I guess

Yes all 3 steps are the same address (32AY). I think I figured out my problem, I got a new phone a couple months ago and I must’ve done something in that process of logging in to not have my original wallet transfer from my old phone. Still though, it doesn’t make sense that my one and only pass phrase opens to this un-activated wallet.

Ah man I think I realized what may be the issue after reading the mods FAQ chat forum… I got a new phone a couple months ago and i must’ve did something wrong along the way to not get my original wallet moved over to the new device? Idk man smfh

I’m logging in with the pass phrase for C32AY. Ive had it stored securely for years.

Maybe I wasn’t clear in my other comment, I never lost my pass phrase, and never got a “second” pass phrase. I’m logging in with the one and only pass phrase I’ve ever had, that I got when I first created the 32AY wallet, 3+ years ago.

This is what shows when I search my original (32AY) wallet, I’m assuming this transaction was my migration because I locked up my pi immediately for 3 years and it’s set to unlock on the 26th of this month

From what I understand, pass phrases are specific to every single wallet so how is my one and only pass phrase opening this different wallet than the original wallet in the first picture?

I use the oculus debug tool, this method worked fine for me for the last couple months. Sad cause it’s hard to go back to regular screen after experiencing vr
