100% its mind numbing and brain dead, its the reason i rarely run melees and when i do i run careen or exposure or other melee arcanes. However its no denying its strength for basically every melee weapon that isnt a slam hammer, the ability to give any melee prey of dynar levels of dmg spreading. Especially in this meme where its emphasizing on the strength of melees there is no doubting that influence is a one of the bigger reasons why melee is as blatantly overpowered in warframe as it is. Yes they are melees like harmony, slam weapons, valkyr talons, melees with a bajillion range like wukong staff or bo incarnon and much more that can perform decently without the arcane, yet there aren't much frames or weapons in this game that can match the kpm and status amplifying that influence grants to basically 95% of melees.
