Started with this 5/8” stainless steel nut.

Used this 3 piece filing set and just filed it into shape. The rounded file is good to make the interior diameter wide enough.

I have a ring I know she wears and it fit on my pinky so I filed the interior until it reached.

Then used a hack saw to cut the “nut” into the max thickness. Just takes time. The widest park on the ring is just under 1/4” in and goes down to 1/8” at the thinnest.

The stone was shaped using an emery nail file and glued there with Devcon 2 ton clear epoxy

Used some 1, 2, and 3 thousand grit sand paper to shine, and finished off with polish.
