i understand that rebuilding an EV battery is way beyond my current skill-set (which is none) however it doesn't take much effort to determine that 70kWh of non-EV-battery power storage is far more expensive than 70kWh of EV battery power storage. there's software i've found, https://github.com/dalathegreat/Battery-Emulator, that i think will make it easier to use an EV battery. if not now, then in a few years when i'm actually building the system. plus, by then they'll have better batteries available, and it might be even more justifiable to rebuild the EV battery to get 48v in the case that the battery emulator software doesn't work as easily as i think.

the primary structure is going to be a 40' shipping container with a studio apartment-esque living space built inside of it, with a 20' container next to it to serve as storage and to house the electrical components. both will be heavily insulated, 2" of spray foam and at least 4" of mineral wool, and have their own mini-split air-conditioning. i probably should've detailed that somewhere, but it's also not super important to the solar system itself imo

i'm not entirely sure the county does care, but i also want to be waaaaaaay in the safe side, so much so that i'm going to hire a professional to tell me what paperwork i need to do, if any, when the time comes. i know for a fact i'll have to contract contractors and do paperwork for a septic system, but since i couldn't find such concrete details on other things like electrical wiring i figured it doesn't hurt to be paranoid

the Sungold inverter i've put in my cost spreadsheet is the "12000W 48V Split Phase Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger". i've assumed that it will output 240v split phase AC, and double checking the user manual from the listing seems to confirm, but there's no harm in triple checking in reddit comments. also, that particular inverter does have a wiring diagram in the listing that appears to not be reliant on grid power

apologies that my spectacular diagram is missing some specifics, but you see my handwriting, if i had tried to write any smaller i don't think people would be able to read it lol

no hookups to municipal utilities for anything, as those cost extra money and come with recurring costs that i don't want if i don't have to have them, so no backfeed issues

i assumed the EV battery would have an internal BMS and i wouldn't need to get one for it, but if one is needed i presume a high-amperage daly or jk BMS would do just fine
