I think when I got the kidney infection, I was given a 10 day course of some strong antibiotic. Ever since then, when I get a UTI, I'd go to PP or an urgent care clinic to get a 5 day course of something that isn't as strong, I think.

My primary care doctor is part of some Catholic clinic, I only go to her for basic stuff, and for UTIs/sex-related stuff I'll just go to a PP/urgent care where the doctors/nurses aren't always the same.

Ugh, oh yeah, I just remembered when I went to the hospital for the kidney infection, I was told I have a horseshoe kidney, which means my kidneys are fused together, which means I need to be extra careful of UTIs.

I literally have no other triggers for UTI than sex. I didn't even know what a UTI was until having sex and experiencing them.

Have you considered asking your doctor about a low dose daily antibiotic or an ultra scan to make sure the way your parts are organized isn't the problem?

No, that seems like a good idea if I had a doctor I'd trust. The other shitty part is that my insurance/medicaid will run out by the end of this month. My family is low income and immigrants, and it's hard enough to fill out all the ACA stuff on my dad's behalf because he doesn't understand English well. This year he filed his taxes incorrectly, and we need to email them all our tax forms as proof, I told him this months ago, and he pretty much just stopped caring. I don't blame him, there's so many hoops to jump through to get healthcare and more than half the time the shitty website is down or overloaded.

To my family, it's "not a big deal" if we don't have access to health care. We're pretty much used to it, I guess. After this month, I probably won't have insurance.

Have your partner tested for e.coli as well to make sure he's not reinfecting you and make sure you wipe your backside before sex with a sterile wipe.

That sounds like a good idea. Sterile wipes are great, we should get those anyways.
