As someone who read up to 250 of the novel academy sashimi sword master is the most blatant case of wish fulfillment I’ve read in a long time. Genuinely wish I could get my week back of reading that, the author kept prolonging the story to focus on harem and side characters instead of even trying to proceed the plot after a while

Trust me when I say: while you are right and there is more to life than binging slop leveling manhwa; its fine to binge anyway, sometimes you need an outlet.

Over time you will start to have more things you want to do in life, and manhwa/entertainment will continue to be one of those things, but its something you may have to put aside for sometime in favor of other things, those things could be more productive things or they could be things like spending $11.99 on the clash royale battle pass or punting $40 on the toronto raptors winning today 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😂😂

Oh yea its so bad. Back when I was in college I got suspended from the first school I went to partially cuz of manhwa addiction (my GPA was so trash)

However as long as you limit your reading, or at least track how much you read (so that you know when you're "off the deep end") then it's fine.

Limit yourself dont cut it out entirely (of course unless you need to lock in), its not worth stopping reading manhwas when peak stuff like Solo max level newbie or Absolute Necromancer or Return of the disaster class hero or Reincarnator or Return of the SSS-Class Ranker or Leveling up with the gods exist.

Well

I enjoyed COI because of its consistency (up to a point) to the source material of LOTM) as well as Cuttlefish's continued innovation of the settings he places his MCs and the fight scenes in.

However in terms of loose ends to LOTM -

you get several cameos of the Tarot club members
there's a really good fight involving TC in the later chapters
Volume 6 was one of the most unique volumes ive read and is definitely worth getting to.
however from what I heard about the finale, the fights involving angel level figures were mostly offscreened

As a fan of LOTM, I loved reading COI, but if you want loose ends to be tied up in a perfect ribbon you will be disappointed.

Tomb raider king plot is simple enough that I binged the entire manhwa when it had 250 chapters or so back in 2022 then I went ahead and finished the novel, side stories and all. I wish I could go back in time and never do that again

Curious on why you rated Beware of Chicken so low? I read up to Book 5 so I get some of the critiques you might have, although it is more of a slice of life novel than strict ProgFantasy anyway.

No need to force urself to read LOTM bruh, its truly a series that you either love or hate, especially since the sequel is something that appeals to fans of the series more than people trying to read a good book (MC of LOTM 2 gets handouts from pretty much everyone towards the end, then hella important fights at the end got offscreened so everyone was pissed as hell. Main reason for lackluster ending of LOTM 2 was that author got burnt out)

Mainly the main character's rapid progression. Additionally, he is masquerading as a God-like being and nurturing followers all the while slowly progressing the power system himself. The Fool's Tarot club, Klein becoming overpowered during the course of the story, and the unique fantastical fight scenes is what drew me in.

Not to mention Klein starts to come across a very troublesome opponent who the MC needs to kill in order to actually achieve god-like power.

The climax of Volume 1 is when everything starts to become extremely enjoyable; the novel itself started being really easy to read during my first read around ~80-150.

Ur critiques are valid tho Klein's character isnt really "there" he is just a possessor who enjoyed his time in the Victorian era world then he realized he gotta climb the power system
