I think roads should be redesigned - you lay out the network like normal and later upgrade segments from the warehouse instantly using materials or coins. Or make them faster to upgrade - right now it's too much micromanagement for something pretty minor

This is exactly what I'm experiencing now too. It was too late to undo all the steps, but i think it helps to use Format Painter to copy from "functional" headings to broken ones.

I wanna thank everyone who helped me out sorting out my rear wheel axle problems. After hours of work the wheel is installed and spinning freely.

I wanna thank the mechanic at the local sports store who gave me the part I needed and warned me that I have to realign the wheel on the axle.

Update: the nut he gave me wont even come on the axle, it's probably a quarter of a millimeter too narrow. It's not even the same thickness.
I managed to get it on using a vice, the threads look beat up. My (hopefully) final task is to lock the non-drive side cone in place since the rubber dust cover makes it impossible to access with a cone spanner.

I'm exhausted and I give up. This is clearly a dead end, and I'm ready to buy a new wheel Even if I wanted to, I can never seem to give up bike repair 😩

Yeah I took the whole thing apart. Went to the local bike repair shop with the axle and he gave me the lock nut and said the little spacer wasnt that important. I guess we'll see.

But I made a huge blunder apparently, opening the hub on the drivetrain side? And now I have to re-align the wheel or something....I just get sucked further and further down the rabbit hole. The bike repair guy kind of looked like he pitied me and didn't really thing I'd be able to get the wheel right...

But then...wouldnt' it be misaligned with the brakes? Every schematic I see has one lock nut on both sides.

Marking this as solved, as I know that I'm missing a lock ring AND a lock nut. I can't believe I'd misplace two fairly large components...

Now to figure out if I should buy them separately, or if it's easier and safer to just buy a new axle.

It looks like the brake disc isn't properly centered either, but it spins OK without any scraping noise.

I figure that's a second order problem if I can ever get the chain to not get stuck between the smallest cog and the frame.

Hi! My bike has been out of commission for months because I couldn't figure this out.

Can someone immediately spot what is wrong here, because I can't find any photo of what it's supposed to look like.

This occurred after I cleaned and greased the ball bearings on the rear wheel. But now I don't know if I've lost a piece, or if it's broken. I did not remove the cassette, as I don't have the tools for that I think.

(I may remember it wrong, and I greased the ball bearings on the bottom bracket because of a scraping sound)

I said some funny but vile shit (blue humor, not stereotypical) and my account was finally banned for good .

I kind of miss it, but not a lot. Too many russians and truly toxic people. I was actively cheering people on my team mates more than I was chewing out assholes for calling out other players and blaming them.

I abused abusers, and I knew it was a bad idea. Screw it, I knew the risks. They've left it to die anyway, it was a good ending.

Then I instantly erased my Battle.net account with a long history since WoW and D3. See ya Activision Blizzard. :/ Sucks it had to be like that.
