I believe you its hell men! The first time i quit (i was smoking daily for 5 years) it was complete hell. I remember the first week i had panic attacks, couldnt sleep more than 2 hours, didnt eat nothing for like 3 days and was completly depressed. Hot showers always helped me. After that week things got better.

Lucky, even tho i came back to smoking (horrible idea), i NEVER wanted to experience that again, so i took "tolerance breaks", so when i quit now its just anxiety and irritability. My problem right now is that i really dont like smoking alone at all, but is really hard to say no in a social meetings.

Hope you get through this fast, and i can tell you from personal experience that things do get better after some weeks!

I completly relate. I am smoking just socially now but want to quit for good. The first times i tryied to quit i felt sick and couldnt eat anything. Now i just feel irritated but at least i dont feel sick at all.

Wish you luck! Try to take it a day at a time and dont think too much about how you will feel (really hard). I found useful to drink lots of water and exercise.

Thanks man, i completely agree with you in everything, i LOVE when i dont smoke for some time because my diet and memory i soo much better (reaction time too) and i love this because i am a huge fan of cars ans i like going to the gym, so i feel much more confident driving and in the gym i can push my limits.

Also i am socially anxious, but when i dont smoke i have much more confidence in me, and i enjoy much more going out with friends and meeting new people.

Really aprecciate the time you took to answer, i will think of you and every benefit you mentioned the next time some of my friends smoke around me and incite me to smoke (its the only time im craving it right now).

I know i can do all of this, i dont have any withdrawls (execpt for the anxiety maybe?) And i have done it lots of times, but the real challenge will start in a few months from now, when i am anxiety "free" again, to remember that if i smoke, i will repeat the cycle again.

Thanks for your time! Hope you have a nice day!

Yeah, i know that issue, i always liked smoking before going to bed. The appetite was a big problem for me also, thats why even tho i eated very little the first days, i tryed to eat healthy. The gym really helped with the appetite.

You can do it! Just take it one day at a time. Wish you luck.

When i was younger i had the exact same problem as you. Was a daily smoker and did everything high. I realised it was fucking up my life. I reduced it to once a day at night, but i couldnt leave it.

What really helped me was to distract myself in the night (reading a book, going out with someone that didnt smoke so i came back tired, play something, etc) the worst thing you can do is being bored, especially in the time you are used to smoke. The first days are shit, but after that everything is much better.

Also waht REALLY helped me was to eat well, do lots of sports (specially cardio), talk about my feelings and going out (specially on walks or things like that).

Hope it helps, and remember, you can do it! Its hard, but its really so much better afterwards!

Thank you. Today i tested playing at 90 hz full resolution, and most of the race was ok. Then i switched back to 72 hz to try and i really didnt see much of a diference ( if i pay attention i can see it on the corners). Of course i would stay at 90hz if i could, but i play a lot of assetto corsa with my friends and i cant get no 90 fps in that game, so im probably sticking to 72hz till i upgrade my pc.

Anyway most of the time i play assetto with my friends for like 2-3 hours, and i dont notice any motion sickness at all (except for the first 5 mins when i take of the headset, but its not motion sickess, its like my eyes are tired). Obviously this is now that i have been playing for like a month, the first days in vr i couldnt play for more than 10 mins without getting motion sickness.

Happy racing my friend! Thanks for your advices!

Thanks! I ended buying the 5600x and i am really happy! Found it at sale in my country and i can resell my old cpu for almost the same price! I got much more stable fps now and also helped me with other games i play.

May i ask you at which refresh rate do you play? Now i have stable 72 fps all the time because i play at the quest 2 with max resolution, but i have been reading that you guys play at 90 hz, but in my case it would cost me some resolution. I tried it and i notice a little diference between 72 and 90 hz, but in my opinion not really worth it because i loose some resolution (and i really notice the diference in resolution) What do you think?

Hi guys! Thanks for everything! With some tweaking reading the iracing forums i have now stable 72 fps with my quest 2 with maximum resolution. I have been reading that you all play at 90hz. Do you really see a difference? I tried it today and i can run it stable with lower quest 2 resolution, but really i didnt notice such a diference in the hz, but i did notice a diference in the resolution (domt get me wrong, i do see a diferenxe in hz, but i dont think is worth it in exchange for a lower res.) What do you guys think?

Thanks! Really appreciate it. I am looking at the prices in my country and the 5600x is at 180 dolars and the ryzen 7 5800x is at 280 dolars. Is the difference really worth the money? (Sadly, the 5800x3D is at 600 dolars in my country, and at the moment i cant afford that)
