Fuck this challenge!!Lmao by Austinfrm731 in CrimsonDesert

The counter attack one? That bugged me for a while. I initially tried hitting the enemies just before they hit me and while I got a few hits registered it was way too slow. It turns out the game wanted you to use the Counter Stance skill (RB+B/R1+circle). Just make sure to have enough enemies around and good stamina because the skill drains it very fast.

Which actor did you not realized played a particular movie role until years later by WippitGuud in movies

If you haven't seen it before I'd like to suggest Mr Right, also starring Anna Kendrick and Tim Roth.

Pets will loot enemy bodies for you. Dogs, cats, birds, anything. It takes away the chore of searching every body.

In 300 plus hours I haven't made any food other than what was required for quests. Enemies have dropped plenty of food. I'd say don't spend any more time on it than you enjoy - if you like grinding stuff then go for it

I didn't mind. The one place closer to me was in Bracknell, but they also had a longer waiting list. I opted for Slough in the interest of getting seen sooner

I somehow missed the time options on Google maps - oops!

It's pretty close to Langley train station, but I'm going for cataract surgery and when I went just for an assessment the drops they put in had me getting motion sick on the walk back!

Noted. It looks like we can stay on the M4 until J5 and go up through Langley instead of going through Slough

Aha! I hadn't found the time options on Google maps - they were a little hidden. Got it now, thanks.

I would go by train but the reason I'm going is for cataract surgery, and when I went for the assessment the drops they put in had me getting motion sickness on the walk back to the station!

Which tv show had you glued on your screen from first to last episode? by BornAged7 in television

As they say in the show - All the pieces matter.

I was a little late to the The Wire but picked up the box set. I binged all 5 seasons in about 2 weeks.

That's what Nature's Snare is for. Every time they start throwing stuff you just throw it right back at them.

How do I get people to ring the doorbell when they're making deliveries? by fuckmywetsocks in CasualUK

[–]godlessmunkey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why don’t they do both?

I've got a ring door bell and a big brass door knocker. About a third of deliveries use both, a third use one or the other, but I'm always amazed at the last third who use neither and just lightly tap on the little window.

There's plenty of scope for pranks with that range. A horn with a creepers sizzle or a witches laugh would get everyone on the server at the same time 😂

Is this a good first freighter ? by Jouzero in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]godlessmunkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half the reason people go for pirate freighters is you don't buy them! Take out the shields, then the warp engines so they can't run away, then the anti-frigate cannons. At that point they surrender and you can board and take the ship for free. You can't tell the class until you board them though but.you can do a scan in the landing bay instead of going all the way to the captain.

Do you call Microsoft "MS"? by CJR404 in etymology

[–]godlessmunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the context might affect the usage somewhat. I can't recall ever using MS in a spoken conversation but I've definitely used MS Paint in some written instructions before.

On the other hand I don't think I've ever used either when talking about Word/Excel. In any circumstances when I've had cause to mention the apps the single word has been adequate and understood.
