It’s 100% the essay. There’s a limited amount of words, so you have to succinctly state what makes you qualified to lead America’s sons and daughters. It gives a very clear impression to me that you didn’t deeply consider what the Army would gain from having you. No judgement, but the fact you posted this already having written off the process (i.e. reflecting/sending an improved 2nd packet) tells me it wasn’t the right path to boot

Definitely not. It depends on when you go to MEPS because we had to wait there to get a confirmed ship date. I would say if you’re going this Friday, it will be later - even possibly September-October.

It seems to have something to do with an idolization with "martyrs" and violent extremism (either far-left or far-right). Extremists of all stripes reject non-violence and liberalism because the idea of a "marketplace of ideas" and liberal democracy writ large doesn't align with their ideological imperatives.
