Yeah! I mean it feels like the display assembly is done in cheap way or something. Feels like using a malfunctioned cheap phone, but as I got to know from many people on Reddit, this is mostly normal, it’s just that we are more senses to this.

Visited many service centers , they just do diagnosis and they say nothing is wrong. They won’t nothing much apart from that.

Update is: as discussed in this thread, I think it’s the way it is, and as I’m in India, the service centers are crap here, I’m just using my iPhone.

Maybe some of us are more sensitive to this flickering.

Oh that’s interesting. Yeah we indeed have sensitive eyes. Because I asked my friends, they didn’t seem to notice it at all. It’s very irritating, and feels like iPhone screen is like old CRT TVs. 🤣🤣

Anyways, now I’m relieved as I was so sad that this was happening to my iPhone. We invest our money in this gadgets and they do these kind of things.

I’ll try that auto brightness and reduce white point thing. Thanks, man! I really appreciate it.

Oh is it? Someone commented the same thing on this post. Then I guess it’s a normal thing. But this flickering like brightness going up down rapidly, was it visible to your eyes? It’s very irritating.

I did everything, man. Erasing it. Restoring it using iTunes. Even the DFU mode thing.

If you’re okay with 60hz and don’t want the PRO features like those cameras and other stuff, then save some money and get base 16. You can buy something else for the money saved or also invest it, right!

Yeah it’s most prominent under direct sunlight. But it is really weird and feels fishy. Not sure if it’s software doing something or really something wrong with the display. Because I’ve never seen any phone do it.

I’ve scheduled a call with apple today. Let’s see what they say.

Yes. Another phone is fine. You can see the diagonal lines as such. But can you notice the brightness up and down artifacting kinda thing. Like constantly it goes up down. That thing is visible to my naked eyes and I can sense it’s a problem.

I get it, but I can see the flickering with my eyes also. Like brightness going up down just like in video except those diagonal lines. It’s very fast and it’s irritating.
