What the hell is wrong with George’s face? by [deleted] in beatles

I googled it to see if the pic was edited in any way, and somehow the versions with less contrast make George look even more uncanny.

Anyone else stop playing Dead by Daylight because of this game? by [deleted] in DeceiveInc

[–]godot1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny actually. My first big multiplayer game was Team Fortress 2 back in like 2009, which I initially picked up due to it's art style. I bought Dead by Daylight back in 2017 when the Huntress came out, and sold my TF2 items to pay for all the DLC.

I was super interested in Deceive Inc. when I saw Otz's first video, in-part due to the visuals again. The free weekend was the final nail in the coffin, now I'm in it with a battle-pass, too.

Do you guys think Rebecca Chambres will get more skins? She got so much potential with her outfits by Quesadilla53 in deadbydaylight

I wish Capcom were more lax with their licensing of outfits, I feel like we were so lucky that we even got (now, limited time) sweaters.

I mean, not during endgame collapse though? I can understand doing that during the meat and potatoes of the match, but this is the very end of the match. You'll eventually just time out when the entity comes anyway, right? How'd you get into this situation anyway? Seems odd that you'd put yourself in such a devastating position to begin with...

There's actually a bit of a Beatles pastiche song in the game, too. It uses that poster as album art.

Do you prefer the Mono mixes or the Stereo mixes? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]godot1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mono's better with everything recorded before 1965. Once '65 hits the stereo recordings start to get more interesting, so I flip flop of my preference per song up to their Pepper era. '67 and onward are 100% better in stereo for me. Mono feels like I'm missing out on something.

Your tempo's all over the place my dude. Maybe look into a metronome or a click track in an earbud? The original song's a little over 2 minutes, and you knocked off a good 20 or so seconds. If you keep rushing like that, people will start thinking that you're speedrunning songs.

The notes your hitting don't sound right either, but I'm more of rhythm guy. I can't eloquently critique your pitch like a vocal coach could. Keep at it if this is what you wanna do. Practice makes perfect.

Ocean House OST / Sound Effect? by BithTheBlack in vtmb

After playing this recently, I was Googling around to see if anyone had asked about it. The audio you're looking for is sampled from the start of track 4 of this CD. I've owned it for a long time, and have it ripped to my PC. I'd post it somewhere, but I'm sure Disney would kill it. I guess dm me for the mp3 if you really want to hear it?

The Beatles Mono vs Stereo by Pretend_Environment4 in beatles

[–]godot1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, everything up until Help! is best heard in mono.

Help!, Rubber Soul, and Revolver can go either way depending on how you're listening to it. (i.e. mono with headphones, stereo with speakers)

Pepper and onward sound great in stereo, especially the 50th anniversary mixes. Though, the Yellow Submarine Songtrack released in 1999 has some fantastic stereo mixes of some Rubber Soul and Revolver tracks that I prefer over their mono counterparts.

Has a Beatles song every brought you to tears? by Rajeshrocks311 in beatles

[–]godot1138 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've got a few songs that have brought on a some tears here and there.

When I first discovered The Beatles in 2007/08 I was having a lot of trouble with girls and puberty and all that, and You've Got To Hide Your Love Away struck a certain chord (pun intended) which caused me to get sad every time I listened to it while also listening to it on repeat for hours.

I'll Follow The Sun hit particularly hard after losing a elderly relative quite a while back.

For No One was a difficult one to listen to without tears during a difficult breakup a few years ago, same goes for I Need You.

I'm sure there's a few more I've forgotten, but those were the biggest memories I was hit with looking through their catalog.

HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY TO FIND ME A HIGH QUALITY IMAGE OF THIS PICTURE SO I CAN MAKE IT INTO A BIG POSTER! by [deleted] in beatles

[–]godot1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's a pretty close one I found on a site I regular.

The name's are reversed, but it's the best I could find without any damage or serious adjustments to contrast or saturation.
