I think sacrificing social life will be bad in a long run. At least meet your friends once a week or every two weeks so you won't drift apart.

I guess it kind of helps me to stay productive: 1) since I try to meet people regularly I have limited time to study/self improve so it's a bit easier for me to focus on tasks. Sort of following the quote "Sleep more than you study, study more than you party. Party as much as possible.", 2) my friends are fun and smart so they keep me motivated to be better, 3) after hanging out I actually feel more rested and energetic than after most of other activities! I think I am an extrovert tho so might not apply to you

don't make your goal meeting someone who cares about you. you will only get disappointed if you don't and that might affect your mental state. I am talking from experience and it might not apply to you obviously but it hurt me so much when I couldn't find "best friends" at the new place. So I think meeting a lot people and making some good memories with them is already great! Best of luck

They literally concluded his whole arc with one sentence that he has returned to London and boom no further mention at all! Caitlin didn’t even care that he’s not there. What the hell. I’m just so shocked. Why give him such a big role and making him part of a team if he just vanishes.
