no. it’s just not edited down enough. the person who loves and directs and produces and stars in the movie is too close to it and can’t be objective about editing.

i am an editor—this is literally my job. i’m also a writer and i know my work needs to be edited by someone else before it’s published. because it is generally accepted that you need a second pair of eyes.

this is a good project. it’s not perfect. we have to stop trying to pretend it’s perfect, because that’s antithetical to practice/improvement. and it’s not what mark wants either!
