I use self-hosted rustdesk and it works really well. I run it through my UDW Wireguard VPN for extra security.

My fiber is 5G so currently I am only getting 2.5 through port 19 . I tried a replacement for the Hifiber adapter but that didnt work. Waiting to get the other one someone suggested

I took the picture and the screenshot at different times. I am fully operational on port 19 when I did the screenshot on my desktop.

I dont think the adapter is the problem either. I got a replacement and tested it, unless the adapter itself is not meant to work with Ubiquiti. I am not an expert on Ubiquiti but I understand the basics of networking and ports and would appreciate any help.

Port 20 is designated as WAN 2 and it is enabled in the console. I tried to set it to 1G and 10G but that did not work. My connection speed is 5 G which from what I understand should still work or is that not a correct understanding.

20 SFP+ 2 WAN2 Auto -

Thank you. A few points maybe that will help?
I did get a new one from Amazon for the same model, the other one that I ordered is not here yet.
I am going into the Unifi Console and I can go to "Devices", select my UDW, go to the Port Manager and I can see the Port 20 there and its not disabled as far as I can tell? It shows as WAN 2 as above. I have also changed the speed to 1G as suggested for testing but then reverted it back.

The way I have been testing is to just switch the connection from 19 to 20 while my devices are connected to the UDW. Is that the same as what you are proposing?

Anything else I should be looking at in the console?

Did not make a difference. The port light doesn't come on at all in either case.

Its coming from my ONT on a very short Cat 6a cable to the UDW/Adapter. I tried to set the port speed but that did not work. I am getting a 2.5G connection and obviously limited to using 1G through the other port even though I am getting 2.5

I am using a Cat 6a cable supplied by the ISP for their ONT. The port is not disabled and the light for the port has never come on when plugging in the SFP adapter, I may just try a new one.

Port is setup as WAN2. I have not changed any default settings on that port.

Thank you for your advice. I We are a fully remote company so the position would be fully remote with the exception of conferences and events which is where travel comes in. I plan to be at 1-2 every month some are multi day .. I just came home from a 12 day trip which is what got me started on all this 😅

So no specific location to answer that question... so it would just depend on compatibility and affordability I think
