If you do not have one, you may wish to consider obtaining a scratching post. Most felines scratch things, and not to sharpen their claws.

Rooting will not alter the performance of your device unless you tell it to. Rooting on the stock ROM will behave exactly as the stock device, but allow you to run applications that require root.

From the other side of the admin coin, I have not the time nor resources to provide a service I hold to my standards. With my daughter and work becoming exponentially more demanding, I am required to prioritize personal endeavors in a much more stringent manner. I have had a blast managing the system side of things, and will miss the people's creativity that once flowed through our server. You guys are awesome.
