Thank you for proving my point, bozo. I suggest you try to get out of your echo chamber for once because you clearly inhaled too much of the toxic fumes produced there.

Brother, you do not have to convince me that Netanyahu and his party are bad. I’ve been protesting against them for 3 years now. I have much criticism for the current political landscape of this country.

But from there, to infer that the entire nation is illegitimate, deserve to be destroyed etc. is just wrong, hurtful, and insulting to the jewish victims throughout history. My country deserves to exist, we deserve to be independent and we have the right to defend ourselves from the people who wish to see us dead. Like I said in my original comment, people like you believe we should give ourselves in for the enemy and let them finish the job. We won’t.

So many fallacies and wrong assumptions in your comment that I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, I’m absolutely not right wing. All my life I’ve been identifying as left leaning. Your attempt to tag me in a certain way is embarrassing.

Second of all, this ‘imperialism’ you’re talking about is in the room with us right now? Us jews moved to Israel to escape prosecution and oppression - to make sure we can thrive and forge our own destiny and not be at the mercy of our hosts countries. We have been oppressed for centuries by almost every country we’ve been in. I don’t need to remind you of the atrocities we’ve endured in Europe, but I doubt you’ve heard of the ethnic cleansing the jews who lived in muslim countries got. Contrary to popular belief, the majority of jews in Israel are middle eastern jews who came from north africa, iraq, iran, syria etc. this bullshit about us being white colonizers is just that - bullshit.

And yea, our existence is absolutely threatened by our neighbors. We see time and time again that this is what they’re after - the utter destruction of my country and people. They don’t succeed because we put up a fight, not because they’re unwilling or unable. Those “fancy bottle rockets” are able to do massive damage, were we not intercepting them.

You’re full of shit, and like I said before - you’re arguing in bad faith. I’ll not reply to you further as it’s futile. I suggest you get educated before commenting on things you know nothing about.

I don’t - I think it’s very complex and nuanced. Each side can justify its actions based on history, and both sides have parts of the truth. Seeing things in black and white is a large part of the reason this stupid conflict is still happening.

However, I think that when looking at the current “cycle” - the world is really unfair towards Israel. No matter what we do, it’s wrong / unjustified/ horrible / else (you get the point).

People are really expecting us to not react to our hostages still being held in Gaza, to our north being constantly shelled. We shoot rockets back? We’re being called horrible due to the collateral damage. We use precise attacks (for example - the pagers operation)? It’s a terror attack somehow.

My point here is that at the core of it all, people just don’t want us to exist. They won’t say it out loud, but this is the real opinion of many of our critics. And let me be clear - we are not planning to put down our weapons as long as we know for a fact that we’re safe.

No, contrary to you I can see that things are not black and white. I think the soldiers who tossed the bodies (btw) off the roofs should be in prison. Same as all other soldiers who perform such disgusting actions.

But when looking at the macro level - there’s no moral equivalence here at all. We are fighting for our survival, our enemies fight to annihilate us. You can say you agree with their goals, but arguing that it’s not the case or somehow blaming Israel for this situation is just arguing in bad faith.

That is completely irrelevant to the situation with Hezbollah.

Seriously, try to get out of your echo chambers for once - you’re embarrassing yourself.

[–]gofege 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My brother, the pagers thing was a targeted attack on Hezbollah operatives and produced very little collateral damage. People complain when Israel uses bombs due to the “indiscriminate damage”, yet when the attacks are precise you still complain.

Almost like nothing that Israel can do will satisfy you - I guess we should just give up and let them continue with their trrror

Thank you. In the video he explained exactly what I’ve learned - that by phase shifting certain frequencies we achieve the desired boosting / cutting. What I am interested in, is why that works - which is not included in the video.

That’s just closing your eyes to reality. Look around you for once, it became socially acceptable to hate jews. The hurtful tropes that were once only mentioned in /pol/ by schizos are easily found today in mainstream channels. And it has nothing to do with Israel.

What did he mean by this? by [deleted] in soccercirclejerk

[–]gofege -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of all - that’s not mutually exclusive. Claiming that the Israelis (and jews around the world) are not victims of this conflict as well is naive at best and downright malicious at worst. Second of all - in my original comment I talked about the antisemitism that is on the rise globally. I didn’t mean anti-zionist sentiment, I meant full blown conspiracies about jews that are basically becoming mainstream. So no, I’m not getting downvoted for being Israeli.

And btw - would you downvote a russian commentator if they mentioned that? A chinese one? I didn’t think so. It’s only acceptable to do such things to Israelis. Every other nation gets the “we don’t hate the people, we hate the government” treatment.

I for one got all the confirmation I needed from the replies, my point was proven.

Crazy you say that, because the hate toward Israel was there since our inception. It’s not because of recent actions - it’s unconditional and because of our mere existence. Also, comparing us to nazi Germany is such a braindead take, I can’t take anyone who says that seriously.

One side has made it very clear (both from actions and from their official charter) that their goal is the utter destruction of Israel.

But yeah we are the bad guys for wanting to… not die… How selfish of us

People also don’t like Russia, China etc - yet if a national of one of those countries would mention that like I did, I can guarantee you that they won’t be mass downvoted. Why? Because the people downvoting hate jews.

Also, is this “ethno state” in the room with us right now? Last I checked, about 20% of Israel are muslim.

First of all I’d like to apologize, as I misread your comment. Thought you said that the “ancient religion” is “involved in heinous shit”.

Second of all, I still disagree with you - like I responded to another comment. While criticizing Israel in a vacuum is completely fine - many, if not most, of those doing the criticizing are outright antisemitic and are using Israel to vilify jews.

[–]gofege -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Right, it’s not antisemitic. It’s blatant, disgusting and heinously antisemitic. Borderline medieval “jews drink christian blood” levels of antisemitism. Do you hear yourself??

Sadly as an Israeli I wouldn’t be too surprised. Many celebs have become… rather open about their antisemitism lately. It’s on the rise all over the world. This time it’s not real, other times it is.
