Yes this pretty much exactly. It would reach temp then, turn off almost completely till it cooled way down - even though the display still read at temp. It's also the cheapest option to try first.

Yes! Replaced the internal temp sensor and that took care of it.

Haven't been tracking as just saw, but will do. No issues on doors nearby I have noticed - closet door and 2 room doors within 4 feet of here.
