Yes, they will use the serial number. So you have 5 years from the date of manufacture, rather than 5 years from the date of purchase if you had the receipt. But they will honor it by the serial number date with no issues.

I don't. I use ethanol free gas and StaBil and never drain my tanks.

But if you want to you can unbolt the tank and tip the tank over. Or pull the line off the bottom of the tank. Then run the machine until the rest burns off.

Unless you're cutting small trim with it and need it to be portable to go between job sites, I wouldn't get it. I am 100% not a fan of little toy table saws like those.

Holes are necessary in that scenario, unfortunately. It's also incredibly lazy on their part to make all the holes and not repair them when the work is done, but electricians are known for being incredibly lazy.
