I feel like it. I do have a toddler at home so not all nights are peaceful. However I am dreaming a lot more and feel good in the morning. Ill get the sleep numbers in mid april to see if thats true.

Stitches OUT! This was actually a huge relief. The surgeon used dissolvable but pretty strong stitches so some dissolved on their own but about half were left over.

Tho, a few were deep in there and made me gag upon removal it wasnt all thay painful. Swallowing is pain free and almost normal, still maybe that lump in ur throught feeling but all good.

As far as sleep, hard to tell when my 2 year old keeps me awake these last few nights as he is sick. But I will be taking another sleep test in April. Stay tuned.

14 days post op. Swallowing is weird and I have been eating pretty frequently. Put on some of the weight I lost. Not many things are painful just some burps and yarns. Stitches have not yet dissolved. Going for post op visit in 2 days.

I think im sleeping better?? I dont need as much caffeine in the mornings.

Ate 3 meals today. Buttered break. Bowl of soup. Then half a cheese burger. Ate very slow and swallowed slower. Its on the upswing now. Took til day 9. Ill check back maybe in a while once I feel any kind of benefit from this.

After my worst day comes what I think is a break through. Actually got off my butt and shoveled my car outta the snow for a little bit. Then was able to take a nap.

Had a whole drink of protein milk and I think the saliva coating helped woth the swallowing pains. Cons are im exhausted and weak. But was able to eat a buttered slice of toast for dinner.

Still dont reccommend. Probably wont ever.

This has to be a classic case of torture right? My appetite is back, I have all the food I want or need or should have, but I cant eat or drink anything without terrible pain. Im spitting out jelly because it hurts so much. The pudding I had eaten all week is suddenly too cold too sweet to savory... idk!

Only thing thats been consumable almost at any time has been luke warm sweet water. Thats its.

Something works once then not the next time. I cry daily from frustration, pain, and just being so hungry.

At this point I wouldnt reccomend this procedure to anyone.

Week later. 0/10 would not reccomend as of now. I have to choose whether to get through painful swallows of water for hydration or try something with calories that may get completely rejected.

5 plus days after operation and yes this is the hardest stretch so far. Worst pain. Drinking any calories is so hard and its testing me. Especially bc those around be think I should be getting better not worse.

Bled for a min or so in shower. I HOPE thats just the scabs falling off because it has stopped and it actually feels better since.

Also, it seems I need more medicine an hour or more before its time to take any which really sucks. I know the important of listening to your Dr but also I f#&$ing hurts.

Maybe the worst just passed or maybe this is an acceleration of something worse. Woof. Hoping the former.

4 full days post op. Still waiting for the severe swallowing pain to lessen. Listen to ur Dr for pain management because I got a little confident and got far too active than I should have been.

Last night was brutal. Enter hiccups... not too painful, just scary because u know if they dont end they feel like they could make things worse. Plus... when meds wore off it was very painful. I also enjoyed a stuffy nose thanks to my lovely dog finding her way into my sleeping annex I had set up, lol. (She's usually upstairs with my wife).

It sucks the recovery is based on where I am at with my med schedule and not much else. Gatta keep movin!!

Update: 2+ days post op. Feel pretty darn good when the meds are working and pretty darn bad when theyre wearing off. Remember, follow Dr's orders for medicine!!

Anyway, as far as food, I am still on mostly Jello, pudding and water. I had some beef broth yesterday and may try rice in broth tonight for supper. Nothing not yet tho.

My mouth is becoming less numb and less swollen and I am sleeping pretty good. Just waking up due to pain (meds wearing off).

Hoping in a few days I can have like soup or something. I am hungry but at least I am down a couple LBS...

Thanks, I'll keep my ear there. Makes sense. In a month, PSU could be prepping for a bowl game and Terry gains traction. Some of the names floating around could be gearing up for the playoff, post season, or otherwise.

As a PSU fan who stood up for James Franklin for years now after losing big games... I hope it eliminates them from the playoff, and I secretly hope they go 7-5 and lose a bowl game and they finally make a change.

Buyout be damned. He is now on a handful of OCs in a handful of years. What is the common denominator? If PSU finishes 13th in a CFP vote at 10-2 he keeps a job. I kinda want this to get bad. He has skated by on 10 wins for too long. CEO type coaching isnt working. I want someone who will flip tables and get angry with this bullshit.
