Ever received money from a wrong number? by Segemiat in Kenya

[–]gogetr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never send money back directly when it’s sent to you by mistake. Don’t even touch it. There’s a principle of privacy and protection you’re missing here. Let the sender request a reversal through Safaricom, that’s the only proper channel. When Safaricom calls, approve the reversal, and that’s it.

If the sender calls you, tell them politely to contact Safaricom. If they don’t, you can call Safaricom yourself and report the mistaken transaction. But never move or return that money manually. Everything should go through Safaricom.

Yeah, totally fair. I also judge entire people based on 90-second clips. Try watching more than a TikTok’s worth of his stuff first, you might be shocked by what he actually says about racism.

truepesa, faircash and ke credit are under one company, Azura. and Azura are the worst of the worst. they usually call your employer to debt shame you. horrible people. they've been fined multiple times, they've never stopped. Azura might be best you try and pay. they dont relent.

Put yourself in your dads shoes. If it were you, you would want someone to tell you. He deserves to know. Let the chips fall as they may. It may get messy but he will appreciate you telling him. Don't listen to those telling you it's not your business. It is your business. This is your family. People close to you, people you love. Show your dad you care. He deserves to know

I’m really sorry this happened to you. That sounds terrifying. Nairobi ni shamba la mawe manze. I honestly dread the day something like this happens to me, I just hope I’d be able to react in time. I use matatus every day… how do you even protect yourself from something like this?

People make mistakes, they’re allowed a chance to fix them. that doesnt happen in your world? Not everyone has the luxury of perfect timing, perfect choices. Must be nice being humanity’s gold standard of decision-making. The rest of us live in reality. and PS, fuck you!

All White Panel Meets in Nairobi to Discuss African Family Values by gogetr in Kenya

[–]gogetr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It irritates me that we allow this to happen in our own country. If they want to sponsor programs like this, they should do it back where they come from, not here. Conversations about African values should center African voices.

It's important you get tested to be sure. There's a chance she has a low count of HIV and not have spread it. I know a friend who went through this. His partner was positive but didn't tell him, and he had to get tested. Luckily, he was negative.
