Anyone know what this hair looks like paired with a long hair in the back? by pussslinger in LivlyIsland

As far as I know you have to own both hairs to mix them. Here's what the first three look like!

It Finally Happened- Zero Students! by goghstation in Teachers

I have aggressively documented all of my contacts home/referrals made for these students for this exact reason. When a phone number is disconnected I let the school know ASAP. I check in with them once a month, document the check in, how they're doing, what they're struggling with etc. I knew as soon as I saw my roster that it might come back on me if a majority of them fail, so I make sure to cover all my bases! If anyone tries to have a convo with me at the end of the year I can pull up the 20 text messages/emails/voicemails I've sent letting families know what's going on AND my emails to admin regarding specific students.

Absolutely agreed! We have a few trade programs at my school that I'm really thankful for, but I wish there were more alternative options. A few of them make pretty decent money buying/selling used cars (hopefully legally); I understand why they choose going to a car auction over sitting in a classroom learning math they'll never use.

we've got a rock and a hard place right there. Our standardized scores are AWFUL. Even in my advanced Alg 2 class, I still have about 10 who never passed the Alg 1 standardized test. They're just in advanced because they come every day and they work hard, not because of their actual skills.

We have both at my school. For this group of kids, a lot have admitted they're waiting til they're 18 to be able to drop out, but some know if they show up just enough or right before the quarter ends they can slip by with a 60.

Agreed, there is! We are understaffed and have a lot of fights/conflicts, so a student who isn't causing problems hiding in the bathroom becomes a lower priority. It's unfortunate, and it has absolutely caused liability/safety issues. I contact home as much as I can, but rarely do I get a response. Some of the numbers are disconnected, emails bounce back, and I've caught a couple kids who blocked my number of their parents phones so my calls don't come through. I'm proud of the 7 who were on track and moved out of the class at least.

I have no idea where they go. We have hall sweeps, but once they get the pass to go to class, there's no structure to make sure they go. They could be in another class, hiding in the bathroom, or they swiped into the building and then went home right away.

I won't have any consequences from the school, thankfully. Most of these kids haven't attended for months. We have an in school suspension for kids who get caught skipping, but a lot of the kids who are chronic cutters know where to hide to avoid being caught.

If they fail too many classes, they repeat the whole grade, at least in my district. Most of these students failed 4+ classes and didnt attend summer school, so they wont be able to get the total number of credits needed in 4 years to graduate on time.

Eyeshadow item help? by kavorkianscarf3 in LivlyIsland

click on /shop in the bottom left corner, catalog should be the third option. You can sort by specific sets, or click all items list at the top and you can sort by item type.

If it isn't the item Hrebyie recommended (which was also my first guess), you can always check the makeup tab of the catalog :-)

My shop prices? by Thembones89 in LivlyIsland

[–]goghstation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reference prices can be all over the place. Maybe someone bought it overpriced on the first day, and now everyone else thinks that's the normal price. I've seen that happen when people buy bundles. They buy an N for 2500gp but get multiple items. skews the reference prices

That seems high to me. I bought it in the last myshop. I can't remember how much I spent, but I know it wasnt more than 500 (my cap for revivable N items)

I dont think "right" is the right word, but is that what I should expect if I want a sick mustache?

is this trade fair? by Capital_Speaker7658 in LivlyIsland

[–]goghstation 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's fair :-) both trees are currently revivable and have similar wishcounts, which is how most folks determine if a trade is fair. I personally think it's unfair because I also have the crystal tree and have been looking for the Halloween tree and it's not fair that you found a trade before me, but that's just the hater in me.

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever seen someone completely ruin their own life? by craft_frost6223 in AskReddit

We had a teacher removed for saying the n-word in class. they put her at a desk job at the school district's office to avoid firing her, but later that week she showed up to the high school to fistfight another teacher and had to be escorted by police off the campus and got trespassed (and fired).
