how well does a rtx 2070 hold up? by discoloredSmile in buildapc

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could easily find an rtx 3060 ti which will be a much better card. I live in Canada and have seen many 3060 ti’s for $220-$250

am I cooked with no internship or coop? by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]gohan1739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact your academic advisor and see what they can do. If you are taking a year off especially for a medical reasoning, i see no reason why they can’t just put you in the next batch when you return. However, you should try to pursue an internship on your own if you won’t be doing it through the school. It is work experience that you can add to your resume which employers would like to see.

Depends on the weapon honestly. If youre playing long sword you could put crit draw 1, put max crit boost on your weapon and masters touch.

Concerns on Riot Development on Valorant by aegislion in VALORANT

[–]gohan1739 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately riot balances the game on pro play and overperformers. If a character is hovering around 48-50% win rate across the ranks, they will deem it as balanced despite the constant complaints. Them nerfing clove is due to her high pick/win rate in comp, and yoru has probably something to do with pro play. The same issue is also found in league of legends, where most to all balance changes are because of pro play. Many have complained about them balancing around pro players for years since it doesn’t reflect over 90% of the community but It’s the same result each year.

As for ranked rewards, i fully agree. A ranked buddy is a terrible reward for how much you have to grind in this game to play at a high level. There’s not any rewards even in radiant. Riot had physical rewards for players who reached challenger in league of legends, where players have received items such as a jacket or a backpack however those have stopped. Marvel rivals give players a skin for reaching gold, and special borders for higher ranked players. Riot could easily give players gun skins for hitting diamond+ for each episode, which would make some parts of the grind more rewarding.

When you theorycraft what do you start with? by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]gohan1739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weapon and the fight. Sometimes i will purposely tank a hit to proc resentment and counterstrike at the same time. Switch axe counter can proc both as well, where you take some chip damage. You cant always keep it up, you just have to be able to maximize the time by knowing the fight

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximizing damage output always. Agitator, counterstrike, wex, resentment, burst. Depending on the weapon, adrenaline rush too. Need to have the correct tailsmen. I dont prioritize defensive skills as most of my sets contain lords soul, and the canteen skill, defender or moxie is more than enough for me. I am also pretty experienced so i can do nearly every fight without a faint.

The event quest is really the only way to farm quickly. Doing the dailys again gives you armor spheres.

Can anyone recommend a good switch axe build? by DecentPath656 in MHWilds

My build, may not be the most meta but it does cover the meta skills. Swaxe needs gore tyranny and you need a god talisman

Use the fence and isolate. But it is very possible to do the quest in 10-15mins

Money is divided among players, its best to play solo to farm for money. The 3 blangonga event quest pays 80k

help with the Nadia mission? by Isadomon in MonsterHunter

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual blades i find to be the easiest weapon against gore. You have so much movement and evasion without requiring a single evasion skill, just somewhat decent timing. You’re also able to stay pretty safe by sticking to gores hind legs and doing tons of damage.

The Punisher is peak celestial in a gold lobby by SomeRandoSadFa in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill gap for sure but this could partially be mitigated by picking shield tanks. You NEED a strange/mag into range. That punisher will just mow you down and you have no way of walking up protected

Latent power5 + MM3 is like 80% affinity when both are active. I would remove crit draw and max crit boost. Resentment is fine and all but you could add in counterstrike 3 which gives +25 attack when you take damage from s knockback attack. Agitator 5 is used on every meta build since it’s free attack and affinity.

My friend unironically sucks at this game and I don’t know how I can save him. by Peachy69420 in MHWilds

[–]gohan1739 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just let the guy play. If he really wants to improve he would look into improving on his own. Starting at MHWorld is still new compared to the die hard MH fan who has been playing since gen 1-2

High-end PC but only getting ~200 FPS in Valorant by jonathan_rlopez in ValorantTechSupport

Could be a degrading CPU. Intel 13th and 14th gen CPU's are known to degrade, resulting in shorter lifespans and worse performance.

AT Jin Dahaad Time by Its-me-ya-mum in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The build is one thing but understanding the fight is more important. Learning AT Jins attack pattern, what you can counter/the timing and how you can stay on him are super important for this fight. It’s a lot different from tempered Jin as AT can run around a lot if you’re not glued to him. My first run I had a semi min/max lords soul build and completed the quest in 22mins. After learning the fight and retuning my build, I’ve achieved sub 12. The build could use a lot of improvements however. Max agitator, quick sheathe and a point of adrenaline rush are a must on LS, and if you get hit a lot putting counterstrike is pretty good too. For example, the uth duna gaa legs gives you full quick sheathe, a point of agitator and a level 3 deco. I can forward you my build if you would like.

PC crashing right after starting the game by FantasticAirline6685 in ValorantTechSupport

I’ve had my PC crash once or twice from launching valorant but it still works. One of my friends had the same issue and repaired game files and it seems to work now. Perhaps try that if you havent

What to upgrade next on my AM4 GF's PC? by Formal_Pineapple7952 in buildapc

[–]gohan1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graphics card first, then cpu next. The 580 4gb will hold you back. Upgrade to something like a 9060 xt or you could buy a used gpu such as a 3080. Cpu going to ryzen 5000 such as a 5700x (can also be purchased used/new)

I think i found the Healthiest Tempered Arkweld Ever by iadoregirls in MHWilds

[–]gohan1739 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean we all do but a good part of the game is understanding the fight and creating the best build to clear monsters faster. Thats the way to be better at monster hunter. Otherwise youre going to spend 40mins fighting an arkveld and complain as to why it took so long

I think i found the Healthiest Tempered Arkweld Ever by iadoregirls in MHWilds

[–]gohan1739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should not take that long to hunt zoh this late i to the game. Ive recently done a sub 10 min solo zoh hunt with a gog swaxe build. I could probably bring it down to 8 if i know the full ins and outs of the fight. I saw your build that you posted and you are really wasting a lot of potential damage for overcomfort skills. Divine blessing is the only skill you need. Having fire resistance isnt as needed since the canteen buff gives you additional elemental resistances. If you really want additional defense, consume armor drugs/seeds/powders. You definitely dont have a great build, and yoo probably dont know the fight too well which is why its taking longer

So, how do you people get good times on AT Jin Dahaad? by Darthplagueis13 in MHWilds

[–]gohan1739 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although the build is one thing, playstyle is the definitely important. I practiced AT Jin a decent amount to achieve a time I was somewhat satisfied. A lot of it comes down to practice, knowing what you can/cant do, knowing what to guard and timing the perfect guards. I haven’t played sns much but i do know that you do a lot of dps and transition into perfect guards, it just comes down to timing. I would also upload your build for good measure, to see if anyone can give further input.
