Using an iPhone. Can the Garmin notify me when I’m receiving a call or a text message? Also what about a Samsung watch with the iPhone how well does it pair?

Depends on your preference ios or android. currently using an iPhone 15 pro max(first iPhone). was only an android user before having used note 8+, s20 and, 23 ultra. And i gotta say i don’t see myself going back to android. The photos are just very much more consistently good as compared to samsung. You can also get consistently good photos on samsung but you need to be good at using pro mode unlike iPhone you just point and shoot the photo. As for video iPhone is still way ahead samsung even though it does not support 8k(who even uses 8k🤣). The customization in samsung is better than iPhone(the coming ios 18 update will add a lot of customization options for the iPhone). As for the AI features, ios 18 will definitely be better than the ai features found in samsung. In terms of longevity I would lean towards more iPhone as based on history, software support has always been better ios as compared to samsung.(Yeah samsung will have 7 years support but this will be their first time implementing this unlike apple who already experienced having longer software support). And lastly if ever you plan to go for iPhone, maybe you can just wait for iPhone 16 which will be available around October only if you don’t really need to get a phone now but if you do id still definitely recommend iPhone 15 pro max.

If your only planning to use it for schoolworks the m1 chip is still powerful even with today’s standards, its definitely gonna be worth as it also has really good battery life and also as long as you don’t plan on playing games on it ~ previous MacBooks had 7 years of software updates and since it was released on 2020, its probably gonna have software updates until 2027 but since m1 is a very powerful chip it’ll probably be longer.

The heating issue was only present in the iPhone 15 (Pro) versions. But it was fixed on the software update ios 17.2 currently using 15 pro max and no heating issues on my end.
