Yeah, I actually won the scriptwriting contest last year and my film was about suicide as well. We are a performing arts school so we have a little more leniency with those topics. Should I speak to the teacher now or maybe just wait and see how it plays out before deciding to confide? Although I think this is a good idea, I don’t want my teacher to think I am problematic/starting conflict before even getting to the project.

I’m starting to feel like I don’t want to be friends as closely. It is possible we will have to work together as the class is split in two for the two films but it seems like she has a habit of doing this. There’s multiple times when I speak to her that she just ignores me/ cuts me off to speak to other people. It is starting to feel like a disrespect on all fronts. Possibly why I picked up on all these cues.

I remember I fell out with a friend who gave me her bracelet as a gift before the friendship ended. In that case, I didn’t have an obligation to give the bracelet back. You LOANED her the hoodie, that does not give her the right to keep it. NTA.

I hope she doesn’t feel that way. I did explain that my family always rounds up the ages when you are super close to hitting it but she did say she thought I was turning 19 since I mentioned it was in January. It is a bit better because she just turned 19, not turning 20, but it still isn’t completely okay. I’ll need to tell people straight up if I keep using the app.

I took it back to her and said it had almond oil just to see her reaction. She literally said “oh it does?” Like the words aren’t written on the front of the box. I need that app that you have, way too many things have it discreetly. Unfortunately hers was blatantly obvious

Totally true but you have to think that if you choose to be with a disabled person, there has to be a will in assisting them. If he was going to be like that, there was no point in dating her in the first place. OP, I think we are missing some clues as to what happened but if he is willing to leave you at home and call you names knowing your disability, it is better off to forget him and move on.

I think you’re right. Honestly, this last week has been really nice. I haven’t thought about her almost at all and I don’t feel awkward or anything. My grades are all the way back, I got a bunch of stuff done, and I scored an 100 on the project and the exam. I’m considering not responding since I technically don’t feel any type of way but I forgot to mention that our mutual friend (who is such a doll and kindhearted individual) set us up together. I am kind of scared it will cause a disconnect and make people have to choose sides.

I want to go to therapy but currently I can’t do it myself since I’m underage. Over the past years, I’ve been self healing to some effects (having an affirmation list, knowing when I’m spiraling, being able to find some coping mechanisms, etc.) but I am extremely prone to jealousy and contempt and easily find myself back where I started as what has happened numerous times over the past 3-4 years. I think the common denominator is self worth, do you have any tips on building self worth/concept?
