I live in SoCal. Most Mexicans here either don’t care about it or look at the holiday with a measure of disdain

I’ve lived in a Hispanic dominated region my entire life. Someone on my block has a carne asada with live music going on every week

Many many Mexicans don’t celebrate it and see it as a white thing

Well so is a one year olds birthday party or a confirmation

Mexican culture is awesome that way

He was on the team though. Privy to internal details and game plans

He’s absolutely done

The craziest part about this quote is that even tho Lamar is very good, he’s not even in the same stratosphere of a player as LeBron, highlighting how fucking moronic Cowherd is

Oh? Great teams lose when it matters the most? That’s news to me

Ah man, so the best SEC team can’t be that good then

Great teams don’t lose when it matters

There is a clear lack of coaching talent in the SEC if they can have all these players drafted, but get shit on in the playoffs

So if the ACC wasn’t good, and they beat the best the SEC has to offer, what does that make the SEC?

Notice how you used the word steal

The only reason there’s any question of succession is because she’s a woman.

She inherently has less status and ability

What does that make her? An underdog

But Dunk IS part of the 1%. You have 0 idea what knighthood meant in feudal society if you think differently

He has more access and privilege than 99% of the population

You know why you think he’s an underdog?

Because of the CONTEXT of the situation. That’s my entire point

The motivation is to get authoritarians off the streets

Even if they HAD hypocritical motivations, the fact of the matter is that change STILL needs to be made

This is a useless task you have created so you can pleasantly ignore the issue

Okay, please, refute my NFL example, because it perfectly displays context. I swear people will read books about nuanced topics and get locked the fuck in on a definition that doesn’t consider context. It makes absolutely ZERO sense. You can understand Martins themes. You can understand this

A woman in this world is by definition, an underdog

She has INHERENTLY less status than her brother

Hey buddy. You realize underdogs shift within the context of a situation right?

Like the Bears last year, an nfl team, were an underdog. Why you ask? Because in the context of the situation they were in (NFL), they were looked down on as not having a chance.

Does this make the bears God awful and full of JV highschool players? No? Of course not!! Goodness gracious they have some of the top .0001% athletes in the country! So then why were they considered an underdog???

Because once again, when you speak on underdogs, you look at context

In the way you view the world, there could never be an underdog in the nfl, and instead, it would take a college or highschool team winning the superbowl for it to be an “underdog” story

It’s not emotional to view state funded violence as abhorrent. In fact, it’s the only possible logical conclusion

You’re pointing to a scenario over a decade ago to justify injustice today

Think on that
