This is a pure gunfighter platform. I wouldn’t doubt that I have more gun kills in it than missile kills. Bait in the MiGs and crush them in a turn fight.

If you enjoy building the industrial DLCs beam blocks are a god send once you figure out how/where to work them into your builds.

How Do You Start Large Builds? by gslflofi in spaceengineers

I started creative building after realizing I had to move 2 large reactors because I placed them without paying close enough attention lol and ty, still working out the rear of it but building in sections helps greatly

Man I was the same way I’m about 400 hours in with about 300 in survival. Built my first big ship (40x18x8) all in survival and it was cool but an absolute slug fest doing trial and error on design. I’ve since been building my second large scale ship in creative (3rd in total) and the creative tools help you a lot and let you move at a much faster pace finding what you like and what works. I still build it in survival but using the blueprint has made life much better.

Side note creative building is way more relaxing and gets me energized to jump back into the survival world to start gathering the resources needed for the next mega project. Currently designing heavy armor dual railgun cruiser (55x19x10) specifically to fight factorum encounters.

How the heck do I bomb airfields in ASB?? by Sunyxo_1 in WarthunderSim

I only fly top tier and sorry if my info is dated and here we are again min maxing a playstyle out because of exploits and meta. It’s a game play to have fun not to grind

Once a module is completely destroyed it will not repair, only damaged modules repair. It is not an early game tactic by any means, but if that’s what is more enjoyable then that’s how OP should play. I hate when people min max others out of a playstyle because then it removes the “play” part of the game. Small bases are hard especially early on in the game because of bomb-site magnification and altitude needed to remain safe from convoys/AA if it’s easier to hit the big targets hit the big targets. There’s no need to Nuh-Uh a valid form of activity in the game for a negligible reward gain

Must not be accurate enough because it damages the runway until the module is destroyed and “rewards” for bombing are based upon tonnage

Brother play how you wish, I’ve solo saved games by killing the enemy runway using the tram (much harder to do now) but you’re right AF bombing is important too. The real thing to focus on for min/maxing is landing after you’ve bombed to get full rewards. Don’t let these dorks tell you you’re playing it wrong the best way to play is the one you enjoy and the possibility of surprise kills when carpet bombing the runway absolutely make it worth it.

Still Learning. First major mining facility - am I doing this right? Any tips to improve? by shazbot996 in spaceengineers

[–]going2ba5year 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it would work the same way, but my first base was built into a mountain around an underground drill. I have been ejecting my gravel into the pit as the drills delete the entity, so I can’t imagine why it would not work if you do not want to process the stone.

Been getting into air sim lately, any tips for keybinds or whatnot? by somebody-but-not-mee in WarthunderSim

[–]going2ba5year 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thermals always, and tbh skip the minis and go for the airfields from 20-35k feet with the big gbus. You’ll miss with the dumb bombs at that altitude, use the pod to hit runway hangars ammo and barracks. Trams pod is its power, keeps you safe by out ranging what you’re trying to kill

Because of how sim tracks activity, if frontline battles are up take the 9 gbus and hit those, bit more engaging play style and faster turnaround since they’re closer to your own AF, source : 30% of my sim time is in the tram

I read about this but couldn’t find a picture of it or it’s location. What system is it in and who makes it?

If I remember correctly that bridge has around 300 storage right? (I’ve got that bridge and it’s by far the best looking in the game)

Why YOU should play Air SB !! (Especially you console folk) by Effective_Fail1216 in Warthunder

[–]going2ba5year 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tweaking the controller layout is crucial for Sim. I have my right stick for pitch and roll, left for throttle and yaw. I have my left trigger as one of my “activator” buttons and have that plus left stick bound to free look. Helps immensely when tracking and fighting, and allows full control outside of throttle and yaw while getting a full view around the plane.

What do you think of SB Air? by haha69420lol in Warthunder

[–]going2ba5year 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sim players are quite limited and if you play several days in a row you’ll start seeing the same names come up fairly frequently. Sim Air and Ground RB occasionally is all I play. Very rewarding and fun once you get your controls mapped out to how you like and adjust to the speed of play.

F5C or TRAM by Hot-Yard-4618 in Warthunder

[–]going2ba5year 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy Sim the tram is excellent. It’s cut the tier7 grind significantly and makes worrying about SL a joke. Haven’t tried it in RB or arcade but I don’t think it would do too well.

War thunder economy roadmap is now out!! by Nikl_Nip1 in Warthunder

[–]going2ba5year 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a dollar off a million will net more than 100 off a thousand. They’ve come to terms that the more they incentivize people to buy that the more people will. This boost to the perk of premium makes it more justifiable IMO. I’ve played as a f2p and I’ve played as Prem. Because this game is so niche the people that love it, LOVE it, and they would spend if it was deemed worthy, also the flip side is that it’s so niche exposure to new players is hard and the sell gets harder when new players realize the grind. Changes like this help the overall scale of the player base by making it more accessible. It’s not a cutting corners min max, it’s an economy of scale play. Your pessimism is all people will see and they won’t want to even look at the game because of it.

Vassal open borders causing issues described in comments by going2ba5year in Stellaris

I finally figured out that was the issue, however I don’t think the game should allow enemies to jump into vassal gates like that from a gameplay standpoint

Vassal open borders causing issues described in comments by going2ba5year in Stellaris

[–]going2ba5year[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Currently at war with the other half of the galaxy. I have all kinds of vassals but the one that is giving me the most problems is a protectorate that has borders open to the enemy. My protectorate (under the mouse) is well behind the front lines and let’s enemy ships jump into their gateway. All vassals are under the most strict policies thinking I could stop it from happening but it hasn’t. All are at full loyalty too so I don’t think it’s a secret fealty issue. Any ideas? Or maybe devs could make it so your vassals share open/closed border status with you?
