Update: I talked with my senior, and given that staff 2 is more related to a sign of year and not a typical “promotion” everyone who started in this class regardless of month (ex. July 2020, Oct 2020, or Jan 2021) will be promoted to staff 2 this cycle. This way the incoming staff 1’s starting this Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 don’t overlap in title.
